PROLOGUE:

a man & woman hold two twin girls in their arms. The woman just gave birth to the girls with their yellow eyes. They name the older one Amu, and the younger one Au.

four years latter Au is once again very sick and needs to go to the hospital once more. The parents talk with the doctors who say that the girls best hope is with Dr. Smith over in america. The couple talk it over and as it seems the husbands younger sister, Haruhi, and her husband, James, live right in the same city as Dr. Smith. They decide to send Au to live with Haruhi & James for her medical treatment and start making the arrangments.
