Task One
"If you want to keep a secret, you must also hide it from yourself."
- George Orwell, 1984
Trinitie Marie observed the training centre beneath her, watching the tributes as they fought and fumbled through the training regime that had been organised for them. Her eyes quickly roved towards those who showed potential, ignoring those who would quickly die within her arena.
"They are looking good," she mused, the comment drawing the attention of the three other Game-Makers who sat behind her. "I was expecting some of them to be hopeless, but a handful seem very interesting."
"I already have an idea for the two I am sponsoring," began Goldie, but Trinitie silenced her with a smirk.
"Hush, Goldie," she ordered, turning away from the tributes below. "How can you have decided already? You've barely seen them. Anyway, it'll be far more fun if we keep it secret. We'll just have to hope we don't sponsor the same people."
Layla lent forward in her chair, a bright smile on her face. "I'm going to pick who I sponsor based on the interviews. You really don't get to know a tribute before they reveal everything on live television!"
"I agree," added Marcus. "The interview is when you see the true personality of a tribute, not just their skills."
"The interviews will go well," agreed Trinitie. "I might wait until then as well, but the skills tend to intrigue me more than the people behind them. Layla, are you still alright with hosting the interviews?"
Layla offered a short nod, whereas Goldie simply scowled. "I've had an eye on my two since the Reapings," she argued, pulling herself forward in her chair. "That's when you truly get to know them. I know more about the Games than you do!"
Goldie, however, was ignored.

The Task - You must either write the Reaping of your tribute, the private training session of your tribute, where they attempt to impress the Game-Makers, or you can write the interview where your tribute will answer questions set by Layla. You are free to do whatever you want with these scenarios. I will attempt to make each scenario chosen relate to the Game-Makers they impress, but if it comes down to some I want to sponsor who didn't write the appropriate task for the Game-Maker, I will ignore it.
The Kills - Being Task One, there are no deaths this task.
The Word Limit - There is no word limit, but I am not really expecting anything over 1000 words for a task like this.
The Scoring - Like most of the tasks within these Games, the entries will be marked out of twelve, with twelve being almost unattainable perfection. There will be brief notes for this task. This task will also decide sponsorships, so write well.
The Twist - A twist will happen every single task. For this twist, I thought I would keep with the theme of these Games - the sponsorships will be kept secret. I will Private Message those who receive it, along with their sponsor perks. You are free to use these at any point in the Games.
The Deadline - 4th of July 2015, 11pm BST. If you are sponsored, you can expect to get a PM roughly before 11:15pm that night. If you do not get one by 11:30pm that night, then you have not been sponsored. Make sure to send the entry to the same email as the form.
May the odds be ever in your favour!
