Task Three
"Ipsa scientia potestas est" - "Knowledge in itself is power"
- Sir Francis Bacon, Meditationes Sacrae (1597)
Trinitie Marie found herself sighing as she watched the faces of the dead, projecting the images onto the ceiling of the labyrinth for all of the tributes to examine. She had known the fallen for only a matter of days:
Angus Weston, District Ten Male (as written by RappyTheDinosaur)
Gold Lucretius, District One Male (as written by KiwiCurious)
Fintan Tanner, District Twelve Male (as written by CloveThenadier)
Bobby Ferrari, District Six Male (as written by ariel-lannister)
Icarus Brenner, District Five Male (as written by RebellionAuthor)
Ke'Oshi Blue, District One Female (as written by bestsayings)
Bella Summers, District Ten Female (as written by SimplyComplicated_
Kit Stitch, District Eight Male (as written by minijessie)
This was the part of her job that she did not enjoy. That evening, her mind was tinged with guilt even though she had tried to prepare herself for this sort of emotion. There was something about Trinitie's discomfort that made Goldie smirk.
"Well," announced Goldie, forcing Trinitie to turn around and listen. "I'll be completley honest with you, the pain wears off by the second day. What torture will you be throwing at them tonight?"
"None," answered Trinitie quietly, ignoring the slight looks of shock from both Layla and Marcus. "The tributes have suffered enough for one day. After all, eight of them have lost their lives. They should begin to realise that their hummingbirds will lead them to combat soon anyway. That will be enough entertainment."
"Are you sure?" asked Layla, biting her lip with confusion at the change in Trinitie's demeanor. "It is the Games, after all. The audience..."
"The audience can wait," interrupted Marcus. "I think we should listen to Trinitie. Let's give our tributes a break as a reward for their suffering."

The Task - This is a very simple task. Your tribute has the night to themselves, with no intervention from the Game-Makers. They can go hunting, or they can sit and reflect on the day's events. You can kill one person in your entry, or you can kill no one at all. This is a slow, easy task to give you all a slight break from the bloodbath.
The Kills - There must be one or less kills in your entry, listed afterwards. You must also provide me with three ballot deaths.
The Word Limit - There is - technically - no word limit for this task.
The Scoring - This task, like usual, will be scored out of twelve. However, the way I decide your score will be different due to the twist.
The Twist - I have always found long entries to be a little overrated. Your twist for this task is that you are only allowed a maximum of five sentences. I will be counting, and penalizing, if any of you go over. Sponsored tributes may not use their +500 words advantage.
The Deadline - Thursday the 16th July, 11pm BST
(Please take into account the short deadline and strange times. There will be no extensions granted under any circumstances for this task due to me having to fit tasks around my holidays.
The task will close at the above time.
Voting and the next task will be posted at 6pm BST on Friday the 17th July)
