Right now, I was standing behind a huge door with Amy by my side. After she told me who they were, I wanted to know their names but she quickly said goodbye to them and carried me away saying that it wasn't time to meet them yet.

" Cassie are you even listening to me? " Amy says snapping her fingers infront of my face effectively pulling me out of my trance

"I'm sorry what?" I haven't heard one word she has been saying

"listen Cassie, today the games begin, your quest for the right man. When you meet them today keep an open mind, don't fret If you start feeling overwhelmed, remember you are the princess" Amy says while I nod.

I take in a deep breath and walk into the large ballroom to face the nobles. immediately I waked in, all eyes were on me, I could feel it. I kept my head down as I walked down the stairs. when the stairs finally ended, I lifted my head slowly.

"She's very beautiful" one of them said breaking the silence

"Told ya!" another one yelled from the back making me go a deep crimson color. They started quarrelling for what reason?, I don't know.

"Thank you" when I spoke they all seemed shocked

"I think I'm in love" Another guy spoke. Making me laugh. The ballroom suddenly goes quiet and if I dropped a pin you would probably hear it. They all remained quiet looking at me. I'm confused what I'm I supposed to do? I wish Amy were with me, atleast she would know what I should do.

I looked back up and decided to try my luck. Like Aunty Vera always said 'be yourself ' but the problem is at the moment I don't even know how to be that. My legs are starting to ache, I'm not used to standing in high heels. I look around for a place to sit but there is none, the ballroom is very large and the walls are painted with gold colour. In the middle of the room on the ceiling stood a chandelier which looked like it was made with diamonds. The windows were covered with beautiful drapes the colours of gold and royal blue like the color of the tapestries.

I look back at their faces and then at the floor, it's so clean I could probably eat from it. Oh well! This is me being myself, I hope I don't end up messing up.

I bend over and take off my shoes one at a time before slowly gathering my ball dress and sitting on the floor India style. When I got comfortable I tuckened the remaining layers of the skirt under my leg so I don't end up flashing them my panties.
When I looked back up at them, they all had their jaws on the floor with either surprised or confused faces

"well what are you waiting for? Hopefully not an invitation? " they shared glances with one another before slowly, one by one they joined me on the floor. This made me smile and I made sure to take note of the first guy to sit and the last.

"So, well I don't know you all so I would love for you to introduce yourselves so we can get to know eachother" I say with a smile. It went quiet again, so no one wants to start, ok let's start with the first guy to sit but how do I call him if I don't know his name.
"Hey, you with the red hair " I call out, they seem shocked but I don't mind them I keep looking straight at him.

"Me? " he asks pointing to himself looking around.I chuckle lightly and nod

"Yeah you, Can you please tell me your name?" I ask, he starts to get up but I stop him

"No need for that just say it " I tell him

"Jason O'sale your highness " he says bowing his head a little

"Ok Xup jase, how are you doing?" immediately I said it, I heard gasps all around the room.
"what? Is something wrong? " I ask them confused. They all shake their heads, OK maybe that wasn't a good idea, I simply shrug and look for the next person

"um.. Green hat, your next " I call out

" Terrence Wall your highness " he says

" Xup Terrence? "

" I'm good your highness" he says curtly but at least he answered earning him a smile but i still wasn't happy, don't these people know how to loosen up

"OK stop with the 'your highness' crap okay? My name is Cassandra but I would prefer you call me Cassie whichever one you like so here's how it's going to be, I want y'all to loosen up and stop acting like I'm going to bite you the next minute because I don't bite so now you already know the drill I will let you know it's you next by calling out something unique to you like your clothing or physical feature and please don't be afraid to toss me a smile because frankly I'm as nervous as you all are, that is if you are? I'm the new girl here so cut me some slack and help me out here okay guys? " They all nod and some of them even smiled, finally at least we are getting somewhere.

"ok green eyes, your next " he laughed a little before answering

"Vincent cross my lady " he said nodding at me

"Vincent cross, I like it. Nice name Vince " I say smiling and it went on like this with me calling out weird things about each person, they giving me their names and me giving them my own personal nickname which is mostly just a short form of their names. At the end of the day I had gotten a smile or chuckle from everyone except this one guy in the back who kept his face blank and never smiled. He is the next, the last person left after I had finished with chace, gacia and axel who by the way acted like he has never met me, jerk! Anyways I also got to know who it was that said he was in love, his name is Paul, and not to judge unfairly since I don't know them all yet but he's the funniest so far, I like him.

" OK the last but not least, four eyes " I called him that because he's wearing glasses

" Reed white " he simply said without looking up at me. What's up with this guy?. I wanted to say more but I decided to hold my tongue.

I slowly got back on my feet, dusted my dress then put my shoes back on.
"It was a pleasure meeting you all here" I say then curtsie

They all hurriedly got to their feet also and bowed as I walked out to meet a smiling and nodding Amy. That's a good sign.
