"Cassie, answer me" Amy demanded walking towards the doctor. She checked for a pulse to make sure he's not dead.

"Thank God he's not dead." She sighed before turning back to face me. By now, I had dropped my outstretched hands.

"What happened Cassie? Why did you do that to the doctor?" Before I could reply, another lady walked in with Reed, one of the royals. Seeing the scene before them, they both ran towards the doctor to make sure he's alright. What about me huh?

"What happened here Amy?" the woman asked. Who is she?

"I don't know either, I walked in to find the doctor unconscious and Cassie on the floor. She refuses to tell me what happened" the woman turned towards me looking at me intently. I decided to do the same. She had blonde hair just like me but instead of green eyes, hers were blue. From the wrinkle lines on her face , she should be around 40 I guess but her figure told another story.
After a few seconds, she turned back to Amy.

"It's not her fault, her powers have just awakened. She doesn't have control over them yet." She explained

"Who are you?" Everyone's head turned to me

"My name is Stella, your mother's sister. I'm your aunt." She said with a smile. I returned it but didn't say anything, I'm sure she already knows who I am.

"The doctor" Said Catalyn. I quickly looked behind them and he was trying to get back on his feet.

"Stella, the doctor, he's an imposter. Stop him he's trying to escape" I warned but they didn't do as I said instead Reed went over to him and helped him to stand up.

"What are you doing? He tried to kill me" I shouted at him

"No I did not. Your highness, I was about to give her an injection to help ease her pain when I saw her on the floor but she suddenly turned on me" the doctor defended. They all looked at me accusingly
Did I react too suddenly? But Catalyn said... I thought he wanted to kill me

"He did. He's lying, don't believe him" said Catalyn. I don't know why but I believe Catalyn. I narrowed my eyes at him calculatingly, trying to see if he was lying.

" Cassie, calm down. I understand that after what happened with Eric, you must have thought everyone was a thre... " Stella said but I cut her off before she could finish

"No, I know what I saw and that he tried to kill me besides why would Catalyn lie." They all looked confused

"Who is Catalyn Cassie?" Amy asked looking at me as though I have gone crazy.

"She's my... " I trailed off.

"Who are you again Catalyn?" I asked in my head.

"The walls have ears Cassie, Don't tell them about me yet," Said Catalyn.

"Why?" I asked

"Because if people knew about me, your life would be in danger. They are bad people here, like that doctor who want to know if you have me and if they were to find out now that you are still very inexperienced you could easily be killed."

"Why do they want you?"

"Not now, I will tell you why soon enough. For now, just make something up" she couldn't have told me that before I called her name. Focusing my attention back on the people in front of me, who were giving expectant looks, waiting to know who Catalyn is

"Ah! Did I say Catalyn? I meant to say why would I lie. You see, back home my friends used to refer to me as Catalyn so sometimes I talk as though she's a real person. Weird right,I know " I said laughing nervously. So I'm not the best liar. They don't look convinced but they didn't question it any further.
Thank heavens! I really need to work on my lying skills, I'm getting rusty.

"Reed please help her up" Stella said after a moment of silence. She then turned to the doctor

"I'm really sorry about what happened doctor, her powers aren't under control yet and she just went through a life threatening situation. Please don't take any of this to heart" the man nodded

"Of course your highness, I understand perfectly" Suddenly I felt someone's hands go under my knee and I instinctively jerked away. Turning quickly, I saw that it was Reed, he looked equally shocked at my reaction.

"Are you okay?" He asked quietly as he carried me but when he tried to lay me on the bed I refused

"No, help me stand on my feet, don't put me on the bed" I noticed that he was about to protest so I quickly added

"Please" I said looking into his eyes through his glasses. He nodded then helped me stand. At first my legs gave out but I used him as a support.

"Thank you" I said to him smiling

"Cassie, what are you doing? Lay back down this instance" Stella said once she noticed my position

"No, I don't want to lay down. Since you refuse to believe me that this man is an Imposter then I shall be on my way now." I looked directly at the man as I spoke.

" I refuse to stay in the same room as a man who tried to kill me, let alone allow him to tend to my wounds"

"Please Cassie, don't be stubborn" Amy said

"Why do you refuse to believe me?" I looked around at all their faces awaiting an answer but no one answered. So shakenly, I moved away from Reed and faced the direction of the door ready to leave when the man spoke

"My princess, I mean you no harm. You misunderstood my intentions, I would never try to kill you" he swore but I didn't believe one word that dropped from his mouth. I glared at him before looking at Stella by his side. With her stance, you could see she was there to make sure I don't hurt him again. Who is this man and why do they protect him so? I will have to find out later.

"I have no wish to hurt you either but please I beg you stay out of my way " With that I walked out. Stepping into the hallway, I had no idea where to go? I started walking in an unknown direction when Catalyn spoke.

"Cassie stop! Don't go any further, danger is ahead. " I looked at the empty hallway before me but I saw nothing

"What type of danger?" I asked confused.

"I don't know but I advice you to go back" Immediately she said it, a bell started ringing. Turning around to run back, I bumped into the man from, the so called doctor. He had a sinister smirk on his face as he stared down at me.

"Your highness, are you okay? Where are you going to?" He asked while I stepped back, putting some distance between us.

"None of your business sir, I remember telling you to stay out of my way, why are you here?" I asked cautiously as I looked around to see if any one was here. We were alone.

"I'm here to make sure no one else hurts you. I have been given the honors to do it myself" he said pulling out another injection.

"I think he has a thing for injections" Catalyn said.

"Not now Catalyn" I scolded

"I can help, just close your eyes and let me take control."

"You can do that. Yes and much more but your body can't take too much so one step at a time"

"Are you scared now my princess?" Not minding him, I closed my eyes not knowing what to do.

"Anything time now Catalyn" Suddenly, i felt him grab my wrist and pulled me into him. Still trusting Catalyn which is probably crazy of me, I kept my eyes shut tight.

"Open your eyes my princess, you should see my face as I plunge this into your heart" he growled lowly. A shiver suddenly went down my spine and I was no longer in control of my body. Catalyn had taken over.

Reed's POV.

Immediately The princess walked out, Stella started apologizing to the doctor. I wonder why she thinks he tried to kill her?. I stood quietly at a corner watching him. Personally I don't like her but she looked convinced. I have a feeling she was telling the truth.

I spotted an injection on the floor. I picked it up and on closer inspection I realized this wasn't a pain reliever, it was poison!

"Your highness, he is an imposter" she looked confused at my sudden outburst but before we could react he started walking back, a black mist circling his hand.

"Black magic, step back!" I yelled at Stella and Amy but it was too late, he released it and we all fell to the floor paralyzed. I watched him run out of the room. When he left, I gathered my power and broke his. People don't know my power and I prefer it that way.
Getting up quickly, I dashed through the hallway to see the doctor suspended In the air with The princess standing next to him, her hands stretched towards him with a smirk on her face

"What did you say again doc? Oh! Yes, that you wanted to plunge that into my heart. Well tough luck buddy because it seems to have your name written on it " She rotated her hands and the man stabbed himself with the poison then she dropped her hands and he fell to the floor dead. I didn't know she had this side of her, she looked at his body then scoffed before fainting. I ran quickly to her, picked her up and took her to my room. With the bell still ringing signifying that the castle was under attack. Locking the door behind me I ran to the scene to join the fight.
