I lived with my best friend for about 5 years. I think it was time for me to move out and start to look for a boyfriend. Truthfully I wanted to be with him, but I wasn't sure if he felt the same way that I felt. I sighed to myself as I sat on the couch and watched tv.

I jumped as he snuck into the room and tapped me on my shoulder. "Steve!" I laughed softly.

"Hey, Y/N." He laughed softly and walked into the kitchen, getting a snack.

I bit my lip as I watched him, god I wanted him so bad. I looked at him as he walked over to sit by me. 

"I have a question." I told him.

"Is the question for me or you're just announcing that you have a question?" He chuckled softly.

"I have a question for you and I'm gonna ask it." I laughed softly and looked at him, "Pay attention cause it's a serious hypothethical."

"Okay." He said and looked at me, then at his food, then back at me, multitasking. He must've been hungry.

I gulped softly and I looked at him, "Okay..what should someone do if they have a crush on their best friend, but they don't know if their best friend likes them back?"

"They should at least ask?" Steve chuckled softly.

"I like you. Do you like me back?" I asked.

"Of course I do." Steve laughed, "And yes in a relationship way." He smiled at me.

I smiled back, I felt stupid, I waited five years to ask him this. I sat closer to him.

"Weirdo!" He wrapped his arm around me. 

"Stop using words I teach you." I laughed softly.

"Never."
