A/N I think I'm going to make an update day for this book, how about Monday mornings? It'll be like a way to start off your week. -Piper
Ryan and I were sat on my bed, laughing. We were having one of our sleepovers, and no, they weren't awkward and weird, they were fun. And we happened to be talking about school drama. "You know," Ryan started, "I think it's weird everyone in our grade has a boyfriend or girlfriend and is actually extremely serious about it. I mean, we're in the eighth grade, we know these aren't going to last!" I laughed, it was true.
"Yeah," I replied, "And did you see Isabella kissing her boyfriend in the back of the room during home room yesterday?"
"Oh my gosh, yes!" He exclaimed, "I didn't want to tell you and freak you out."
     "Yep," I laughed.
"Too bad we're forever alone," he said, glancing at me as I looked at him in the same way.
"Well, we're forever alone together," I smiled, tilting my head to the side slightly.
"Doesn't really make it alone, does it?" He pointed out.
"Yep," I answered, "We'll ride through this middle school experience until we get to high school, then we'll go through that together, then college-we're going to the same college, right?"
      "Duh," he replied stupidly.
"Good," I said, "Then we'll ride through that. Then we'll get apartments that are right next to each other and live our lives together, even if we're all alone."
"That's the sweetest thing anybody's ever said to me," Ryan smiled, making fake tears come to his eyes, making me laugh.
"Oh, shut up," I laughed, punching him softly in the arm.
"Ow!" He said with fake hurt.
"Oh well, you big baby," I giggled.
"Hey, you want to play a game?" He asked suddenly.
"Sure, what game?" I asked in reply.
     "Truth or dare," he smirked.
     "Oh, fine," I said.
"Okay, truth or dare?" He asked.
     "Dare."
"I dare you to, on Monday, speak in front of the class in English/Language Arts," Ryan challenged.
"Please no," I groaned, I really do not like public speaking, let alone in that class, where everyone is extremely out there, except for me. Literally, the class president is in that class.
"You have to, it was a dare," Ryan smiled.
"Fine, only if you do it with me," I replied in defeat.
"I'm good with that," he said, "Now your turn."
     "Okay, truth or dare?"
     "Truth."
"Um, okay," I answered, "What is your cru- No wait not that. Um, what was the most embarrassing thing you've ever done?"
"You already know this," Ryan complained, "But I'll say it again, just for you."
"Yay!" I exclaimed, "Can you tell the whole story, I love when you tell the whole story." His most embarrassing moment is the most hilarious and adorably funny thing in the world, and I love hearing him retell the story, it makes me smile.
"Fine," he groaned, "As you know, when I was really little, like four, I was at a family gathering. I thought I could sing really well then, and as it was a Christmas party, I decided to sing a Christmas song in front of everybody. I started singing and noticed it sounded awful. My cousins were laughing and giggling, and their parents quickly shushed them, as I just continued on. As I finished it, my face turn bright red as there was a slow clap for me and I ran off to the comforts of my mom. And that is why I don't sing."
"Fabulous," I smiled, clapping my hands wildly and holding back a laugh.
"Ha, now it's my turn to ask you a question," he said.
"You don't know that, I could pick dare," I responded.
       "True," he smirked evilly.
"I'm guessing I'm screwed either way," I pointed out.
"Pretty much," he replied, "Truth or dare?"
       "Dare," I answered.
"Go outside and sing a song for me and the whole world," he said, raising an eyebrow. My face turned white. You heard about how Ryan was bad at singing, I was even worse than him. When I sang, it sounded like birds dying.
"No way," I replied, "Nuh-uh. Not happening."
"Fine, then at least just sing for me," he compromised.
"No, I don't want to break your eardrums."
"What if I want my eardrums broken?"
      "No."
     "Yes."
     "No."
     "Yes."
     "No."
     "Yes."
"Fine," I said. I opened my mouth and tried to sing and failed miserably.
     "Beautiful," Ryan complimented sarcastically.
"Wow thanks, now my turn," I said, "Truth or dare?"
"Truth," he replied. He really was focusing on truth and not dare. I wonder why.
"Why do you not like your hair brown?" I asked.
"I think I would look better as a blonde," he responded, "That's all."
"I think you look great as a brunette," I said quickly. Oh no, the words slipped out. I said he looked great. He might know that I have crush on him, which might ruin our friendship and argh.
"You think I look great?" He asked hopefully.
     "Er, yeah," I smiled awkwardly.
     "Truth or dare?" He asked.
     "Uh, truth," I replied.
"Yes!" He exclaimed, "Who is your crush?"
"Uh, um," I replied. I can't back out of this one, he pinned me up against the wall with this question. "Can I choose dare?"
"No," he said, "It's just your crush, it's not that big of a deal."
"What if it is a big deal?" I asked.
"It's not, it's just a person," he responded.
"What if it's a person that's very important," I replied, my face was a mixture of white and red now, I was terrified to tell him, I didn't want to tell him. Our friendship could turn awkward and weird. And that would be awful, and I would hate it and argh.
"Just spit it out, Felicia!" He exclaimed.
"Fine," I replied in defeat, "My crush is somebody very important to me, somebody I've known my whole life, somebody who is always there for me. My crush is my best friend."
"Your crush is me?" He asked. I slowly nodded, and his face lit up like a Christmas tree. "That's great!" He exclaimed, "I have a crush on you too! Hey, what do you say we are boyfriend and girlfriend?"
"No," I replied, and his face fell, "We could ruin our friendship, and I don't want to risk losing that. Promise me, even if it's awkward for a little while, to never bring this up again, understand me?"
"Yes," he said sadly, looking away from me, "I'm tired, I think I'm going to go to sleep."
        "Okay, goodnight Ryan," I said.
        "Good night, Felicia."
A/N haha I'm not sorry-Piper
