"Let's get down to business." Hawks stated as he placed an elbow on the table and dropped his chopsticks into his bowl. He grinned at me and Fumikage with mischief in his eyes. The three of us were at a local restaurant here in the city. We were simply having Teriyaki again for dinner.
The birb boi and I looked up from our food to see Hawks looking at the both of us like he was about to interrogate criminals. I rose a brow questioningly while Fumikage stared at our mentor silently. "What happened at U.S.J?" he suddenly asked, interest gleaming in his eyes.
"U.S.J?" I asked, obviously confused about his question. I've never heard of anything happening in there. It's just a training ground for us heroes-in-training. "Nothing unusual ever happened there yet..." I trailed off. Fumikage looked away discretely, but Hawks seemed to notice the intentions behind his actions.
"Tokoyami." Hawks called out his name, immediately attracting his attention. "You know something... don't you?" Hawks asked; the usual goofy and lazy tone and expression he showed us yesterday in our room was long gone and was replaced with a serious one. My Senpai looked down on his lap and closed his eyes before opening his beak.
"We were raided--"
"Raided?"
"By who."
I asked simultaneously to Hawks' demand. I was clueless about the events that happened because of my late arrival in UA, but Hawks seemed to have an idea. Our mentor looked at me confusingly. "Do you not have any ideas about what happened in your early school year?" he asked as he furrowed his brows at me. I shook my head and explained--"I was enrolled about two weeks late." I said while taking a bite out of the food. I leaned back on my chair.
"Is that even possible?" Hawks asked.
"The reason for her enrolment is quite personal; the school and her family both agreed to keep it confidential for several reasons." Fumikage mirrored my movements and took a bite as well.
"Alright fine... but tell me more about what happened."

The night went on as we went back to the agency and back into the room they assigned us into. Hawks finally went back to his room after I convinced him to(He was planning to sleep on the couch again). I walked out of the bathroom with a fluffy towel on my waist. I was dripping a bit, but I had to do something first before anything else.
Quickly, I walked towards the door and locked myself inside the bedroom. Once that's done, I brought out a fresh pair of pyjamas and quickly rinsed myself off before wearing it. I put the towel away inside the bathroom and laid down on the queen-sized bed.
I didn't know anything before I entered that school. Apparently, the first two weeks were filled with a lot of villainous activity. So basically, my classmates went to a famous heroes-in-training's gym where they were supposed to be taught lessons by a pro hero named Thirteen.
Instead, before the pro hero could even explain what they were going to do there, Villains appeared out of nowhere. Luckily, no student got harmed because Mr Aizawa took most of the hits for them. Two people with healing quirks--including our school nurse-- tended to his injuries with care, so after a day, he only needed bandages.
Hawks kept asking questions related to a certain black-haired dude, However, Fumikage didn't really notice any villain with black hair during the event. This fact didn't stop Hawks from asking more about the black-haired dude though.
I sighed. Dinner was just a big boring discussion about the past. The lone thought of that made me even more tired than I already was. My mind wandered and asked itself, "Why didn't Fumikage tell these events to me beforehand?".
Speaking of The Birb Boi, since Hawks wasn't going to sleep here anymore, he took the couch--Like the gentleman he is. Yesterday... we were... sorta forced to sleep in the same bed.
Although it was awkward... It was actually pretty nice to sleep right next to the guy I loved.
ehe.
I turned my frame towards the window after turning off the lights. The bright lights coming from the window and the soft buzzing of a few cars below the building were soothing. It tells me that the city is indeed alive... Making me drift off into a peaceful slumber.
...
"Wait."
But.
Something was missing.
Yes, the lights were off. I already took a bath and changed. There are no more intruders, the windows were closed, and my phone was charging. The small lights coming from the window acted as a nightlight and it was comforting. The lights barely lit up the room though.
What's missing?
I called my parents before taking a bath and I told them everything that's been going on so far(as per their request). We said our remarks and eventually bid each other off with a "goodnight"...
But it still feels like I'm forgetting something.
I turned around and laid down on my chest. Yes, I was tired, but I couldn't sleep because of this "missing" thing bothering me. What could possibly be missing!? The room was basically heaven to sleep in.
Its warmth was just enough, provided by the AC hanging on the walls. It's accompanied by the blanket around my figure, which made it even more warm and very comfortable.
What's missing?
...
"Oh."
I'm missing the extra warmth that's supposed to be underneath the covers with me.
I'm missing the one who I exchanged my goodnight's with yesterday; his smooth and deep voice, that offered me a farewell from the night, was enough to hibernate me into heaven.
I'm missing the one who was brighter-- or rather the one who brought the balance of light and darkness into the room. The case is indeed like an oxymoron--his Gothic personality brought light to my world.
I'm missing the one who makes me feel safe and secured. The one who washes away all my fear and anxiety just by being in his presence.
I'm missing hi--
Just then, I heard the sound of the door turn. However, it didn't open because I locked it a whilst ago. I sat up from my bed, confused.
I stood up and walked swiftly towards the door and opened it. I was greeted with Fumikage turned around; he was walking away from the room I was in. He stopped dead on his tracks when he heard the door open, though.
"Fumi..?" I asked sleepily. This made him lower his head a bit before facing me with barely noticeable droopy eyes. "Did you need... something?" I yawned in between sentences.
He faced me and stood still, his frame was tired but it refused to show it. "I-I was just checking up on you..." he trailed off rather guiltily. This made me smile gently at him. "I was actually just about to do the same," I admitted, chuckling to myself a little. This made him grin slightly.
We stood there for a few more seconds before speaking again.
"So--"
"Would you like to--"
We cut each other off, and then we laughed afterwards. He was the first one to stop and to say something afterwards. "Go first." He said.
I calmed myself down and breathed in nervously. I contemplated on whether I should really ask him to sleep with me again.
So I just thought--
Fuck it.
"So..."
"Do you wanna like-- share the bed again? Hawks said that "that wasn't the most comfortable couch" before he left." I asked shyly.
He was surprised by my question but was quick to give me a reply.
"Perhaps me and Hawks share one mind," Fumikage says while he shook his head. "I'll accept the offer," he says as he hid his hands on his pockets. I gently opened the door and allowed him to go in. Once he was inside the bedroom with me, I closed and locked the door again(don't want any intruders seeing us again).
We both laid down and sighed.
"Goodnight, Fumi."
"Yeah, Night, Y/N."
And so, we slept a little bit closer to each other this time.
