Dia's side

Baba was...back. But, he looked so hurt. It felt like I stopped breathing. Finally I snapped out of it and said, "Come on guys. I'm gonna draw a bath and you two can help strip him."

"Your back."

I looked to the doorway and I smiled big as I said, "Baba's back!"

I motioned Soryu and Kishi to follow me with Baba in the middle of them with my hand. I ran to the closest bedroom and opened the door. I ran to the bathroom and ran the bath. The water was warm. Once it was filled I called, "Soryu, Kishi! Bath is ready for Baba! Is-"

I walked out to see Baba in a robe. His chest was in full view for me. There were little cuts and Baba who was standing on his own pulled it closed. He chuckled and said, "Don't stare too long Dia. I could pull you in the bath with me."

Baba winked playfully at me. I thought about what he said that day he left, "Ota. Know that, if you break her heart again, I won't hesitate to take her heart."

I smiled softly and then I grew sad. I watched Baba flinch and Soryu said, "Alright, let's get you in the bath."

"Dia, we got this. Baba will be fine with us," Kishi said.

I watched as they took Baba to the bath he looked at me and mouthed, 'don't let them take me alive'! I giggled and Soryu looked at me and winked as he said, "We'll be gentle."

Baba looked horrified at Soryu as he said, "Like hell you will! Dia!"

I laughed and watched the bathroom door close. I don't know why, but I stayed for a few minutes. Finally I left the bathroom. Eisuke had a plate in front of him and I went into the kitchen. Ota had taken care the rest of the food. I hugged him and said, "Thank you Ota!"

Ota didn't return my hug. I looked up at him and said, "Ota? What's the matter?"

"It's nothing."

He returned my hug but, it felt cold. I got out of it and he looked even more pissed off.

"What the hell is your problem? Don't even say there's nothing wrong! Because that is a load of bull crap, " I said steaming.

"Fine! I wish Baba wasn't here! We were perfectly happy! Everything was cool! Now he shows up and it feels like I lost you!"

I clenched both of my fists and said through clenched teeth, "I thought you two were best friends! Obviously your not! Do you mean to tell me that you wish Baba were still in that hell hole?"

Ota didn't say a word. All he did was look away. I picked up the slice of cake we had been sharing and I smashed it in his face and his hair. He looked surprised and I yelled, "GET THE HELL OUT!"

Ota stood and I started hitting his chest. I started crying. Finally I turned away and went to the sink.

"Dia, I-"

"Get out."

I felt a hand on my shoulder and my head snapped up. It was Eisuke and he looked angry.

"Out Ota!"

He followed Eisuke's orders. His head down. Eisuke turned to me. His face soft. He opened his mouth but closed it. I smiled sadly and said softly, "Go on. I'm going to clean up and make Baba something."

Eisuke's side

I had come running in when I heard Dia. She looked broken. There was only so much Dia could take. She turned away and got cleaning. I walked out. I went after Ota. I found his room and went in. Ota came out of the bathroom. He was drying his hair. I couldn't help but smirk. He deserved it. Ota sighed and I said, "Serves you right."

Ota put the towel around his shoulders and said, "Go away Eisuke."

"No. I want to know why the hell you keep acting up when Baba comes around. This hasn't been a problem before. Why now?"

"Baba at first was playful. We both weren't taking it seriously. But when I started falling so did he. That's when I started pushing Dia to the limit in tests," Ota said with sorrow as he gripped the towel with both hands.

I sighed and said, "Your being an idiot. This all started because of that one word. You should be better Ota. You need to apoligize and seriously talk with Dia. I'm sure she would like that."

Ota looked out the window and the sun hit his face. He sighed and said, "I only want to wake up with her tomorrow in my arms and worry about nothing. The only things I would like to worry about would would be, what joke should I try? How will I make her smile today? Should I take her hand in mine? Those questions are what I really want to deal with. Eisuke, I want time. Please."

It was rare to see Ota hit a wall. Especially this hard. I nodded then said, "Ota, we're here for you, Dia, and anyone else. It doesn't help to keep shut up. I'll see you later."

It was already late in the evening. I couldn't believe where the time was going. I exited Ota's room and went to check on Dia. She was in the kitchen humming and she was fixing something. I don't know what it is, but, Baba will be enjoying it. I smiled but a thought came to mind, 'will Dia choose again'? I walked away.

Baba's side

I was lying in bed. Soryu and Kishi stuck by my side. My door was knocked on and I said, "Who is it?"

Dia poked her head in and I said, "Hello Dia, please come in."

She came in with a tray and my mouth instantly started watering. My stomach growled. Traitor! Dia smiled and she giggled. God she looks beautiful. Her aura is really glowing. She stood the tray and I had already been propped up in bed. I sat Indian style and she put the tray on my lap. She had made me steak, greens, and more. She had cut up the steak for me.
"Thank you Dia. I can't tell you-"

I looked to the door that had been knocked on once more. Ota poked his head in. Dia looked down and she said, "Please call me or anyone else, if you need something. Excuse me."

Dia left the room. Once she was out of sight I glared at Ota and I said in a menacing tone, "What did you do to her?"

"That's Dia's and I business. You know what? When that man called, he made-"

Before I knew it, I popped out of bed and grabbed Ota by the collar of his shirt and said, "I know what he did! He made me listen! As he was talking, he had her on speaker phone! I had duck tape over my mouth and was in a chair tied up! There was nothing I could do! I wanted to comfort her but I couldn't speak!"

At this point I was shaking him. I was so angry! I was breathing hard. Finally I let go of him and said, "I'm sure Dia went through her own hell. I could see it! Your right, it's yours and Dia's business! But-"

Suddenly the door opened and I looked to see the guys. I looked back at Ota and said, "Ota, I'll take her away. Just like I did before. This time I won't hold back. If you keep up that stupid act of yours, you'll only hurt her even more."

Ota stood there and he said, "Dia choose me, remember? In the beginning it was us, and at the ending guess what? It'll be us! I'm not hurt-"

I started to lunge at him but Soryu and Kishi held me back and I yelled, "SEE! THERE'S THAT STUPID ACT OF YOURS! YOU SAY YOUR NOT HURTING HER! HAVE YOU EVEN LOOKED CLOSE? BECAUSE I SURE HAVE ! YOU NEED TO THINK TWICE KISAKI! JUST SO YOU KNOW, DIA AND I KISSED AT THE BAHAMAS ! GUESS WHAT? I HELD BACK AND SHE WENT TO YOU. SHE'S LOYAL! HELL ! SHE COULD HAVE STAYED WITH ME! YET, SHE WENT BACK TO YOU! YOU WERE SO PITIFUL! I EVEN FELT BAD! GOD! YOU KNOW WHAT GET OUT OTA! OUT!"

I was breathing hard. I knew what I said was right. Ota's face was so red. He hollered, "I WISH THEY WOULD HAVE KEPT YOU! DIA AND I WERE HAPPY! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT! DIA CAME BACK TO ME! I DONT CARE IF YOU TWO KISSED! SHE LOVES ME AND NOT YOU!"

My eyes narrowed and suddenly just as I was ready to really fight, my head started spinning. I went forward and thankfully Soryu and Kishi had me.

"Baba?"

I looked up to see Dia and I smiled softly at her. I put out a hand and then I blacked out. Dia. I love you.

Dia's side

I had to leave the house when Ota showed up. But when I came back I heard yelling. That's when I went to the bedroom and entered. The sight that greeted me had me almost in tears. Baba was on the verge of blacking out. Baba reached out a hand and just as he really started to go I took it. Soryu and Kishi put him in bed. I got on my knees by the bed and like a child, I nestled Baba's hand and then I took it. I looked to Ota and I said, "Get out."

"Dia! We have to talk! I want to-"

"Ota! Out," Eisuke ordered.

Ota didn't obey and I said, "Ota, if you wanted to talk, earlier would have been better. Now go away. Please don't make me do something that I'll regreat."

Finally he left. What happened in here? I looked at the guys and they looked exhausted. I looked up to Baba and he was so pale. Baba, what's going on? Why am I so scared?
