All three of my male teachers preformed in the Nutcracker.  Mr King played the role of the crazy Drosimier which honestly, he played very well.  He is a good actor and have a tidbit of crazy in him(then again, all dancers have a bit of crazy in them, we dance after all).  Then my contemporary teacher, Mr M was Mother Ginger and let me say, he really made my brothers laugh.  My mom said that when he did his little dance, she couldn't help but watching him instead of the little kids that came out of the skirt and did cartwheels and the such.  Then there was Mr H.  He was preforming two roles some nights, I think he was a rat and also one of the Chinese characters.  You should have seen the white face paint he put on, it was very dramatic.  Also the nice thing about seeing teachers backstage is that they are very nice and chat with you or at least say hi.  As the other angels and I were waiting in the halls, Mr King would come by and point to each girl and either say,"you are my student" or, "why are you not my student?"  It was pretty amusing from my perspective but if I was not his student, it might have been a bit weird.  Mr M we didn't see too often but he always said hi.  Then Mr H would sometimes start chatting with some of us backstage and would tell us,"good job" after we exited the stage while he was waiting in the wings.  Anyways, as always, have a great day and just keep dancing.~Mia
