As the human buzzing machine approached from the west, Beatrice carefully walked around the dam and started following the valley south. She almost made it.
"Whoa," Lt Bob Wilson called out to Fitz, "Pull around and slow it down."
The pilot complied, "Spot something?"
"Had a big flash of something... not seeing it now. Slower. There. Hold it here. What the heck is that?"
Seven white blobs were lined up in a row, facing downstream. Wilson re-focused the image. "Are those beavers?"
Fitz shook his head. "What are they doing? Dancing?"
"No. I think," he paused, gulped, and continued. "I think they are waving."
