(...But, I am thankful most of all for the music that inspires us to move on after dealing with the situations that can break us. The music that tells us that it's okay to cry because everybody cries. I love that line 'take these broken wings and learn to fly again and learn to live so free'. 

It's almost as if he is singing to someone who is struggling with something and he wants them to know that he loves them and needs them. But he is giving them the chance to mend themselves and live freely.

That's all that anybody really wants... To be able to live free from whatever it is that binds us.))

The most important hidden meaning behind my story also coincides with Nicky's comment that repairing ourselves and learning to be free of the ties that bind us is what matters most.  

Whether we are condemned for our race, our gender, our sexual orientation or whatever else others seek to bring us down by... It is about us overcoming these battles that have tormented us and learn to accept ourselves and love ourselves for who we are in order to live freely. 

Only we as individuals can choose to do that in order to move forward.
