BRING IT!

This is a super long one! Thank you so much for all of your reads! All of the comments have been amazing, I couldn't be happier! Thanks for all of the support, and don't worry, in the next few chapters to come, there will be a whole lot more Rosa x Curtis. THANK YOU!!!!

"Ya filmed a scene without freaking out?!" Jackie happily exclaimed.

"Is tat true Fluffy?"

Fluffy looked up from his cocoon, watching his new favourite TV show, after actually managing to finish The Bold and The Beautiful. It was called RWBY. He was obsessed. He nodded, and went back to his show.

"Tat's amazing Rosa!" Jackie yelled, tossing her empty coffee cup out of the nearby window.

"Woops." She apologized, looking through the hole she had made in the glass.

The glass shatters had gone outside, along with the shatters of my favourite coffee cup. I honestly didn't care at that moment though, I was just happy that I had actually achieved something.

"I'll buy ya a new cup." She said, wiping the sweat off her forehead.

"Don't worry about it! I didn't like that cup anyway!" I lied.

Jackie's faced showed instant regret, her lips quivering. But suddenly, something must have clicked in her head, and she began to pound the table with her hands, a large grin on her face.

"OOOHOHOHO!" Jackie exclaimed slapping her hands on the table.

"What's wrong?" I asked, lifting my coffee off the table, to avoid another one broken.

"I nearly forgot ta ask! Did ya wanna join the staff battle? Ta one I was talking about before?"

My mind flashed back to when Jackie was telling me about the battle she lost every night, with her team. I nodded my head vigorously.

"BRING IT!" I yelled in defiance, pumping my fist in the air, and spilling coffee everywhere.

Would the caravan owner mind the stains? Yes. Yes she did.

******

Surprisingly enough, Pokestar Studios was dead at night. Even though it was even more beautiful than when it was the day. Lights sprung from all of the caravans and neon lights, stage lights from the late workers, and even with all of the light on the ground, the stars were luminously lit up. The moon persistently shone its light, engulfing the entire place in a creepy light. Fluffy groggily followed us, annoyed we pulled him away from RWBY. But his mood was quickly lightened when Jackie brought out her Pokemon to walk with us. They talked together excitedly, while Jackie and I walked silently.

After around ten minutes of walking, we walked up to an old warehouse. Just as I was about to ask Jackie if she was hallucinating things in her head, my xtransceivers screen lit up, Curtis's number asking to answer. I excitedly pressed answer, and watched as his face filmed the screen, just as I remembered it from that day at the Ferris Wheel. He grinned, getting to see my face as well.

"Hi Rosa! It's so cool I can actually talk to you as well as see you!" He gushed.

I hoped my blushing wasn't so obvious in the moonlight.

"You looked beautiful in that dress." He awkwardly stated.

I could feel my face burn. Jackie giggled.

"And so did Fluffy!" Curtis laughed, shaking the screen.

Fluffy's face went dark and he lunged for my xtransceiver, snatching it out my hand so fast all I saw was his scarf.

"AMPHAROS!" He yelled, speed semblance! (Authors note: RWBY reference. HEHEHEHEH. WATCH IT RIGHT NOW!)

Fluffy held the xtransceiver so close to his face that all you could see was his eye.

"AMPHAROS AMPHA ROS ROS AMPHAROS AMPHA AMPHA!" He yelled I am a man and I did look amazing in that dress!

I peered over Fluffys shoulder and saw Curtis's bedroom, but no Curtis. I suddenly realized that he had fallen to the floor in laughter. Fluffy looked even more angry then before. I snatched it off of his hands. Curtis's face came back into view, red with laughter. He was so cute.

"Rosa, if we don't hurry up, we will miss ta battles!" Jackie exclaimed, peering through the doors of the shed, which streamed with a bright light.

"I'll let you be Rosa! Have fun with your battle! Best of luck!" He said releuctenly.

I waved goodbye, and pressed the end call button.

Jackie opened the doors, and we all walked in to the coolest room ever. It was like that room that every kid dreamed of being their own room. The floor was a hard concrete, but covered in painted murals and pictures, as well as bean bags and rugs, couches and tables. In the very middle of the large room was a Pokemon Battle Field. A mini cafe was in the far back corner, as well as a T.V mounted on each wall. The walls were corrugated iron, but covered in shelves with books, video games, all kinds of art supplies.

It was the coolest place I had ever been in. And still my favourite place to this day.

People were scattered everywhere, drinking, eating, laughing, drawing, working on some kind of prop or playing a video game, it was euphoric. All of the sudden, the lights went out, even the T.V's turned off, annoying two teenagers playing super smash bros. He angrily got up and threw the controller on the floor.

"Oh for f..."

"LADY'S AND GENTLEMAN! POKEMON AND OTHERS!" A gruff mans voice interrupted, from the battle field.

A single light streamed onto a tall man, with dark skin and a bald head. His eyes flashed green, and he rolled up the sleeves of his business shirt, sneakers and jeans.

"THE DAY IS OVER, WORK IS DONE, AND WHAT TIME IS IT?" He asked, pointing at everyone who had gathered around the field, who happened to be everyone, including me and Jackie.

"BATTLE TIME!" Everyone yelled in unison.

The man nodded, his bald head shining and reflecting.

"I AM ARGON, AND I WILL BE YOUR JUDGE TODAY!" Argon yelled, making everyone scream.

"Unfortunately, Jake is back and has volunteered for the first battle." He said in a normal voice, reluctantly.

Everyone clapped, but sweat dripped down their faces, and everyone shifted uncomfortably.

"Whats wrong?" I whispered to Jackie.

Jackie quickly withdrew her panicked Pokemon into her Pokeballs, and hid them in her small purple handbag covered in permanent marker doodles.

"Jake is the son of the man who owns this entire place. He's our boss. BIG BOSS. Top of the food chain. Jake makes anyone with a pokeball battle him. He ruins our competition, but we can't say anything." She whispered "Once, a Pokemon ended up in hospital. He's a spoilt brat. Acts like a child for the age of sixteen. He was gone on a five month holiday. Best five months of my life."

Jake strode into the light, waving and grinning. He had sandy blonde hair that effortlessly sat perfectly on his head. His eyes were a striking scarlet red, and his face was cover boy ready. Perfect nose, lips that a girl would die to have, perfect eyebrows, define jawline and chiseled chin. He was drop dead gorgeous. Although he had a scrawny figure, he held himself with such dignity you would think he was a strong tree trunk. He winked at a few young girls, that blushed but rolled their eyes.

"Anyone up to battle me?" He questioned, throwing out a pokeball.

A Gothitelle elegantly popped out, sauntering over to stand next to her master. Jake's eyes scanned the room, until they fell onto the only Pokemon in sight. Fluffy. I was so dumb to not have noticed in that moment, that everyone was withdrawing their Pokemon.

"You," He said pointing at Fluffy "Battle. Now."

Everyone nervously glanced at Fluffy. Fluffy loved the attention, and with confidence strode up to the field, making his way through the thick crowd. I slammed my hand onto my forehead in frustration. I weighed my options. Battle, and get Fluffy in hospital, ruining our just fresh career, or refuse and ruin our just fresh career. I had no choice.

Reluctantly, I climbed through the crowd, and made my way to the field. Stares were exchanged as well as question like 'who's the new girl?' or 'does she have a chance?' or even better 'She's definitely gonna lose right?' I went to the opposite side of the field, facing Jake. He snickered.

"An ugly trainer to fit an ugly Pokemon. Not even good enough to get the main part, but the understudy." He pouted, his Gothitelle laughing.

I flinched. I wasn't going to take it. Not that time, not ever again. Fluffy glanced back at me, and nodded. The crowd muttered, finally piecing together that I was the new understudy.

"So sure you're going to win hey?" I asked, ironically enough as I had zero to no experience with Pokemon battling.

Jake seemed taken aback by my sudden mood, and everyone stopped talking at once.

"Of course!" He exclaimed, pushing his hair out of his eyes.

I never actually thought people like that existed. I thought they were just in books, movies. But it turns out they do, says the proof in front of me. Why though? What did he gain? But I didn't care. I was sick of it.

"Lets make a bet then." I said, raising my hand to shake "If I win, you can never participate or step foot in this place again."

Jake froze, but quickly composed himself "And if I win? Do I get to barter that?"

I nodded.

"You have to leave Pokestar studios. For your insolence I won't even forgive you." He smiled.

"Fine." I said, as he shook my hand.

"You better keep your word." I said as we shook, staring into his eyes.

"Same as you." He said, pulling away and jolting back from the fire in my own eyes.

We went to our positions at the end of the field, and our Pokemon stood facing each other, ready for battle. I was surprised that Fluffy didn't put on a red hooded cape and pulled out a massive scythe and pretend to be Ruby, his favourite character from RWBY. It was good to see he was taking this seriously.

"GO ROSA!" Jackie yelled, all her Pokemon suddenly out again, cheering mine and Fluffys name.

Everyone else joined in, filling me with confidence. Argon walked into the middle of the field, and officially began the battle.

"THE BATTLE BETWEEN ROSA AND JAKE IS ABOUT TO COMMENCE. THIS IS A ONE ON ONE BATTLE, NO SUBSTITUTIONS. THE FIRST POKEMON TO FAINT WILL DECIDE THE VICTOR. THE STANDARD RULES APPLY. READY? BATTLE...BEGIN!" He yelled, running off of the field.

"Bring it!" I yell

"Ampha!" Fluffy yells.

And with that our battle begun.
