"Astrid!"

I glance up to see Hiccup rolling towards me on his skateboard. He stops I front of me popping the board into his hand with his foot.

"Hi. I was getting worried you might run into me again." I admit. He chuckles at my comment.

"Oh hey! We have lockers right next to each other. I've never known anyone near me since they do it alphabetically."

"Cool." I respond blushing for the millionth time today.

"Can I see your schedule?" He asks looking at me expectantly. I hand it to him. Hiccup holds up our schedules, his eyes scanning the small print.

"Looks like we have several classes together. Here, want me to walk you to our first period?" He offers. I take my paper silently screaming to myself when he's not looking.

"Sure. I'd like that."

HICCUP'S POV

She just said she'd like that! Am I hearing correctly, or am I imagining things? I don't know what it is that pulls me. Maybe those deep blue eyes, or her smile, but I've never felt this way before. I want to ask her to be my girlfriend, but we just met and she might think I'm psycho. She's just so beautiful. I keep my eyes focused on her as we walk down the hall to physics.

"Hey. I noticed your fog only has half a tail." She says suddenly.

"Yeah. He broke it when he was a pup."

"Oh. I'm sorry."
"No. It's fine. So where do you live?"

"Glenwood's Edge." she says tucking her hair behind her ear. It's so adorable when she does that. "How about you?"

"Ravenpoint. This is it." I say gesturing to a door that leads into a class room. We sit down at a lab table.

ASTRID'S POV

"What's up man?" A white haired boy in a blue hoodie calls running over to us. A girl with a light blond braid in a tight skirt, combat boots, and a blue blouse trailing behind him. Hiccup does some hand shake thing with the boy.

"Who's this?" The boy asks throwing an arm around Hiccup's shoulders.

"Jack, Astrid. Astrid, Jack."
"Pleasure to meet you." he says taking my hand and placing a light kiss on the back of it. The girl flaps him in the arm probably unhappy with what he just did. "Oh, this is Elsa." Jack introduces.

"It's nice to meet you." she says shaking my hand, a gentle smile playing our on her lips. They sit down in front of us as the teacher walks in.

"Morning students. I'm Mr. Jorgensen. You will be pairing up with the person beside you. The assignment will be due on Friday." He passes papers out titled 'What is Physics to You?'. Great. A project on the first day of school.

"This is bull." Jack moans. Elsa rubs his arms comforting him.

"I guess we will be working together?" Hiccup asks looking at me.

"I guess so."
