Chapter 2; Our Apple Tree
Manukau turned around to me. He was ginger, with a white under pelt. The tips of his ears and his nose were black. His eyes were yellow. He had a pointy, long muzzle. Him, his sister Tarni, and his mother, Zeara, all looked pretty much identical.
"Look who it is, miss innocent" Manukau growled. "Don't hurt him please" I said. I didn't want to be rude or mean, but I knew he was bullying Tickle like he always does.
"What are you going to do? Hm? Fight me?" He chuckled.
I would never fight a living creature.
"No. It doesn't always have to be fighting. It can be...well talking? Or you can you just not bully him?" I said.
"Hm...maybe...No." Manukau chuckled. Tickle ran away from Manukau, and sat next to me.
"Manukau! What are you doing near my brother! You big pile of junk!" Jay barked. Him, Ginger and Caramel stood in front of Manukau.
"This little runt, was sleeping in my tree!" Manukau growled.
"It was our tree first! Its our bed! This is where our father would sleep before he became beta!" Ginger barked. "Well I claimed it! And nobodies going to fight me for it! Are they?" Manukau grinned.
"I will fight you!" Caramel growled.
"Oh really? A weak female, is going to fight a superior like me?" Manukau raised a brow. "What's the problem with that? You scared?" Caramel raised an eye brow too.
"You wish" Manukau grinned.
"Stop!" I barked. "Nobody will fight. We all know fighting is wrong!" I said.
"Berry, you need to learn when its time to fight it's time to fight" Ginger said, looking at me. "Its wrong what Manukau does" Jay said.
"But we can settle this another way. We can talk" I said. "We've spoke before. You can't fight the nature of foxes. We settle things by fighting. And that's the only way we understand and except" Ginger said.
"Its not fair that he thinks he can push us around, and he thinks he's better and stronger, when we are the alphas and betas puppies" Ginger said.
"But...someone could get hurt...its dangerous!" I said. "Its more dangerous not to" Jay said.
"Let's quit the talkin' and start fighting" Caramel took out her claws.
"But...we know its the wrong thing!" I barked sadly. Snow, Flake and Rainbow came and stood next to me.
"Go Caramel!" They howled.
"Go Manukau!" Tarni cheered, sitting in the apple tree. "We'll teach you to never touch our apple tree ever again!" Flake barked up at Tarni.
"Go, go, go, go" we all cheered but me.
"We will get it trouble..."
