Chapter Seven: So Sure
Life is worth living,
So live another day,
The meaning of forgiveness,
People make mistakes,
doesn't mean you have to give in.
-Justin Bieber; Life is Worth Living

Wynter's P.O.V.
I walked into the hospital, surprisingly dry.
It was quite warm and I had high hopes that spring was on it's way.
I spotted Spencer sitting by himself without Nina. I visibly frown.
I walk over to him and tap his shoulder.
"Oh, hey, Wynter." He smiles, tilting his head to the side.
I simply wave and he moves his papers off of a seat next to him and I sit.
I whip out my phone and begin my usual typing.
'Where's Nina?'
"Said she couldn't make it, some family commitment." Spencer says and I nod.
"I think she's lying, though." Spencer says suddenly and I grab his arm with both of my hands.
Spencer looks around carefully and lowers his voice.
"She says she with her family but I saw my dad's list of appointments and her name was on it. I couldn't read the rest because he put the list in his briefcase." Spencer says and I take my hands off his arm.
I grab my phone and starry typing again.
'Do you think she's hiding something'
"I don't think so, this is Nina we're talking about, bubbly Nina, she'd never would hide anything from us." Spencer says lightly and I nod.
"Hello, brother dear." A voice says behind me and I jump.
Asher chuckles as Spencer rolls his eyes.
"What do you want Asher?" Spencer says dryly.
"What do I want? What about you? I see you're hanging out with, little Red." Asher smirks and I glare.
"Why the hell does he call you Red?" Spencer says incredulously.
I shrug, really wanting this conversation to be over.
"Her little red jacket she wears." Asher's eyes search for it and he looks at me bewildered when he doesn't see it.
"Where is it?" He looks at my whole outfit, searching for the red jacket.
I type my answer on my phone.
'Too warm to wear a jacket, it's at home.'
"Go ahead, Wynter and Asher, Dr. Primson isn't here to greet you guys so I'll come in to get you after your session is over." The secretary says and I nod.
"After you, Red."
I glare at him and walk into the office.
I quickly ran towards the table and grabbed a piece of paper and pen.
'My name is NOT Red, and I would appreciate if you would call me my ACTUAL name, Wynter.'
"Aw, you are so damn cute." Asher says dryly and tugs on my cheek.
I let out a frustrated sigh and tucked my hair behind my ears.
He was getting on my last nerve.
"Wynter is not as unique as Red." Asher goes on and I roll my eyes, plopping onto the couch.
"How about Snow? I think I'll do that.
Snow sounds good." Asher nods surely.
I give him a look.
"Anyway, how are you going to get me out of here? We had a deal, you know?" Asher continues.
He sure does talk a lot.
Maybe it's because I don't talk..at all.
I grab my pen again, and scribble a reply.
'You need the key.'
"Well, that's obvious, Sherlock, where is it?" Asher scoffs and crosses his arms.
I start to write again.
'In her office..behind the secretary's desk, there's a door. The door to her office.'
"Are you secretly a badass, Red?" Asher winks and I sigh.
"Okay, okay. Tell me about yourself." Asher sits on the therapist's chair and smirks.
I give him a look before grabbing another piece of paper.
'Seriously? I don't have to tell you anything.'
"Touchy. Don't you want to get to know each other better?" Asher teases and I shake my head.
"Fine. How about we just sit in awkward silence and not do anything at all?" Asher remarks dryly.
So that's exactly what we did.
He glared at me before he stood up and leaned against the window pane.
Asher looked content while he stared out the window. There were clouds quite fluffy and white, the sun streaming through them delicately. Asher's dark hair was messily tousled and several strands laid over his right eye. His arms crossed, and his muscles tightening as he moved them. I watched his expression lighten when he looked up at the sky, and in that moment Asher looked happy.
"Something you want to say, Red?" Asher caught me, mouth ajar.
I shake my head and Asher chuckles walking over to the couch.
I scoot over to the far end of the couch and he sits down, way too close to me.
"What're you thinking about?" Asher whispers, before putting a hand on my waist.
I swallow nervously and shake my head.
"Wynter, you gotta uphold your side of the deal." Asher whispers in my ear and I shake my head again.
"No one is going to hurt you, you can speak, Red. It's just you and me." Asher whispers, his lips brush down my ear, accidentally, and I shiver involuntarily.
"Say something." Asher moves away from my ear and looks me straight in my eyes.
I open my mouth and close it again.
I grab the piece of paper and pen.
'No. I'm sorry.'
"I understand. You're hurt, and it's hard.
But you will talk, I know you will. Just wait." Asher nods and I purse my lips.
I was afraid.
I was afraid of the way he said that.
The way he was so sure.
How was he so sure?

Asher is set on escaping smh.
