Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

I lay awake in bed.
Eyes wandering,
Mind searching and pondering.
With a battle on my mind.

3am.
I'm wide awake still.
Checking my arsenal.
My belt,
Breastplate, shield,
Helmet in place.

6am.
I arise strong.
Brushing off insecurities,
Anxieties and uncertainties. 
Scaring away
Shamefulness.

7am.
My sword is unsheathed and ready.
My shoes, solid and firm.
For the race.
My gaze, fixed
On the prize to win.
