Thomas's POV:

Days, turned to weeks as I waited for Amara to wake up, or to even show signs that she was still in there. But nothing, I talk to her all day and all night.

I haven't left the hospital since she was brought in two weeks ago, and I don't plan to. Blay, and Akira do there best to stay positive but hearing Akira cry before she leaves makes me feel as if she is losing hope on her friend.

I was always sitting right next to her, or laying beside her. Trying to let her feel my earth as I begged, pleaded and even threatened her so she would wake up. Yet nothing worked.

"You can't leave me baby.. I won't give up, ever." I whispered to her.

I heard the door open and didn't need to look up to know it was Blay.

"Thomas," he began "you need to come home. To eat, and rest. You can't do anything for her here. And, she wouldn't want to see you this way." Blayne explained.

I shook my head, "I can do something for her here. I can talk to her, and be here for when she wakes. I'm. Not. Leaving." I said with determination.

I heard Blayne sigh, and then the door click. I looked down sadly at my mate, grabbed her hand and held it to my chest.

"Come back Amara.. I can't do this without you.." I said brokenly.

Amara's POV:

Darkness...

Why can't I move? Why can't I speak, or open my eyes?

I could hear my mate, could hear his broken voice that made my chest ache horribly. But no matter what I did I couldn't do anything. I even heard the doctor telling someone that I had been pregnant.. I had lost my pup, a pup I never knew I carried. The empty feeling was agonizing.

I hated hearing Thomas apologize, he didn't do anything. I wanted to tell him that! Damnit move!!!!

I felt my eyes twitch and I fought harder. I want my mate! Please moon goddess..

Suddenly I felt warmth flow through me and I felt lighter than ever. I slowly opened my eyes and looked around. I was obviously I'm the hospital, the white rooms, the smell of alcohol and antibiotics.

My eyes stopped on my mate, who looked horrible. His face, was pale and he needed a shave. His eyes we're puffy and had dark circles under. It looked like he had two black eyes.

I scanned down, and noticed he'd lost a bit of weight. My heart broke. My strong mate looked so defeated.

I opened my mouth, speaking slowly "ma..te" my voice came out scratchy, and rough.

He startled me when his head snapped up, his once bright hazel eyes seemed dull of that light. My features softened. I raised my hand and touched his stubbles.

Thomas hand lifted shakily until he covered my hand with his own. "Amara?" His eyes slowly began to light up.

"Water?" I asked, trying to stop the urge to cough but failed. I coughed for a good minute.

When I opened my eyes again, Thomas was holding the water cut to my lips. I drank greedily. Then signed, "thank you.."

He called the nurse to get the doctor. He sat beside me and stroked my cheek, "I missed you baby! You don't know how scared I was." He whispered them crashed his lips on mine, kissing me deeply. I responded immediately, wrapping my good arm around his neck.

I heard a throat being cleared and we pulled apart, I looked up and seen the Doctor who had a smile on his face.

"Hello Amara, I'm Dr. Hill." He moved closer, grabbing my arm but then Thomas growl distracted me. I looked at him and smiled.

"Its okay babe.." I rubbed his arm, to calm him. As the doctor looked me over.

"It seems your wolf has finally helped in your healing. Though I'd take it easy for a while longer." He sighed, "Amara. Do you remember anything before?"

I nodded, "yes. I know what happened, and..." I swallowed the lump in my throat. "I could hear while I was eh out.." my eyes welled up, "I lo-st... I lost...." I bowed my head unable to say it out loud. I felt Thomas wrap his arms tightly around me, his warmth calming me and comforting me.

"Im sorry for your lose Amara." Dr. Hill said quietly, I simply nodded.

"When..can I leave?" I asked, my face buried in Thomas neck. Taking in his scent.

"We will run some tests and depending.on those you could leave tonight." He replied.

I nodded, and he got to work on the tests. While Thomas and I waited Alpha Blayne and Akira showed up. I smiled when I seen a blubbering Akira, she didn't hesitate to run over and envelope me in a hug.

"OMG!! I thought I'd lost my best friend!!! I missed you so much" Akira gushes.

"I heard you speak to me.. But I couldn't open my eyes or move." I shook my head, "back now and I'm fine.."

I looked up and seen Blayne and Thomas speaking. I was curious what it was when Thomas walked back to me and kissed my temple.

"I love you Amara.." he said clearly and my body melted.

"I love you too Thomas." I snuggled into him.

Dr. Hill walked in smiling, "all test are normal and you are free to leave. Ill get your papers." He said as he left.

I looked around, "um guys I'd like to get up and uh...move...." Alpha Blayne seemed confused but then Akira elbowed him and dragged him out.

I stood slowly and Thomas wrapped his arms around me for support. "Careful you were out for 2 weeks.." he said sadly.

I nodded, "can you help me get dressed?" I asked.

Thomas nodded and helped me do just that. Even though he was practically dead on his feet I could see and feel his lust as he helped me.

Once we left the hospital we went straight back to the pack house where I was greeted by the pack and Brian.

"Nice to see you awake Amara!" Brian said as he hugged me. Once he released me his arms were replaced by Thomas.

"Nice to be back." I smiled. "If you will excuse us." I smiled dragging Thomas with me to the kitchen. Thankfully it was lunch time so food was already made.

"Eat Thomas and then go to sleep." I ordered softly.

He wrapped his arms around me, sitting me on his lap as he ate. Once we were dome we went up to our room and laid down.

He pulled me to his chest, "I'm so so-" I cut him off "don't. There is nothing to be sorry about..." I said quietly.

"I couldn't protect your or..or our..pup" he whispered so sadly I could feel his pain and my eyes teared up.

I pulled away and grabbed his face looking at him, seeing his own eyes teary. "You have nothing to be sorry for babe... we...we can try again.." I buried my face in his chest and sobbed.

I could feel him shake with his own crying and we fell asleep holding each other.
