" fire": In 500 words, tell what happens when there is fire

PRE-HISTORY

Boy crouched outside cave. Boy watched as the elders did mah mah ... there not yet words for thing they do. One day men call thing 'magic'. Then eons later it just be simple nature thing to do, but boy not know that. Boy only know now-time, not other time. Boy not even know concept of time or what 'concept' mean! 

Boy not know much, but boy know Boy is boy. He not have hair on face like old ones; he ones - not smooth soft ones like mate of Boy's ... Father? One day old he and old she known as parents or Mother and Father, but that not yet thing.

But though Boy not know much, he see miracle of 'Faaar.' Faaar is bright and dance on wood and keep warm. Faaaar is beautiful like Girl. Old He laugh at Boy as Boy watch Girl on other side of Faaaar. 

Girl has hair like sun, like Girl's old-he. Old He of Girl is important he in tribe. He got name Duhhh ... duhhh naa. Boy find say name too hard so Boy not do. Just call Duhhh.

Duhhh has much respect. Duhhh bring Faaar to tribe. Duhhh say Duhhh first to make Faaar but Boy not think true. Duhhh is old and fat. Have biggest cave and he's to tell what do. Duhhh say Duhhh mighty hunter but other he's go fetch food and water for Duhhh.

Duhhh have many mates among shes. Girl's old she one, but Duhhh tire of her, drive her from valley with sticks and find new younger she with dark hair on head like Boy and old he and old she of Boy.

Now only ... Boy count on fingers. One hand and one of finger on next hand. Yes! Six with hair like sun left in valley. Duhhh and youngers of Duhhh. One day word come to say better thing for youngers. Word will be 'children.'

Duhhh stands and pounds fat belly. Calls on Boy. Boy need go fetch water. Fetch for Duhhh. Is honour to be fetcher of water. Boy given meat from table of Duhhh but best of all Boy get see Girl.

Duhhh see Boy look Girl. Duhhh put arm round Girl, protect but also Duhhh tell others how Girl is best, like Duhhh. Duhhh always speak of how Duhhh and all thing belong to Duhhh is best.

Duhhh is mighty. Duhhh better than old leader who Duhhh drive out. Duhhh got most meat, most water, bring Faaar. Duhhh say again that Duhhh first but Boy think Duhhh get Faaar from other tribe.

Now Boy angry. Angry that Duhhh take Girl from sight. Boy tell Duhhh other tribe bring Faaar.

Cave goes quiet. Duhhh is angered. Duhhh say Boy no bring water for Duhhh no more. Boy must leave and not sit by Faaar.

'You Fire,' Duhhh say and point. 'No look at Ivaaa/Girl. Now you go.'

Boy go but hear words of boast. Duhhh tell tribe they make war on other tribe. Other tribe cause bad things but Duhhh fix. Duhhh make tribe great again!
