I gazed blankly out the window as we approached the mansion. I had never seen such a large estate. The Phantomhive manor was about three times as big as my previous master's!
"Wow..." I nearly whispered, eyes still glued to the window.
I heard a faint chuckle and turned my head to find its source. Ciel sat across from me, laughing... at me? I turned and looked to Sebastian for an explanation. I hadn't noticed before, but he was smirking and gazing down at me.
He also let out a small laugh before answering my silent plea for explanation, "Heheh. You look just like a child in a candy store. Never seen such a large place, huh?"
I blushed with embarrassment as I realized they were definitely laughing at me.
"N-no, I haven't. It kind of hard to believe that I'll be staying there," I pointed out the window as I spoke with a tone of awe.
I felt a weight on my head as I peered out the window once more. Sebastian had placed his hand gently on my head, almost as if to pet me. I turned to him in order to give a disapproving look, but I was interrupted.
"Sebastian, do you really think she wants to be pet by you?" Ciel said half teasing, half serious.
Sebastian simply smirked and replied, "Oh, do you think you should pet her then, young master?"
Ciel made a small sound like "geh" and unconsciously made a pouty face.
A noise escaped me as I tried to hold in a laugh. "Pfft..." I couldn't help but think that these two argued like children. As I noticed Ciel's face, another sound left my lips. "Awww..."
The moment Ciel heard that, he looked up at me.
I was surprised, but gazed back at him, practically captured by his sapphire eyes, until I realized what I had just done...
"Oh! Uhhh..."
I had no idea what to say. I couldn't very well just blurt out, 'Oh, I'm sorry, I just thought that your face looked really cute! You're pouting like a child and it's hilarious and adorable!' No, I couldn't say that. That'd be the death of me...
I fumbled for the right thing to say until I felt the carriage come to a stop. Thank goodness we finally arrived at the front of the mansion. Another second of this awkward silence, and I would have jumped out of this window.
After the sense of relief passed, it was replaced with anxiety. 'So, this is my new home for the foreseeable future... I wonder what life will be like, starting today.' My thoughts were abruptly interrupted by my new master's voice.
"Don't worry, you'll do just fine here." The Earl Phantomhive gave a quick, reassuring grin, before being helped out the carriage by a gloved hand. Sebastian then extended his hand to me and I gladly accepted as I stepped out of the carriage and into my new life.

I began this fanfic over a year ago... That's right. Chapters 1 and 2 were written over a year ago. I just now decided to write chapter 3. (Has my writing changed any? I hope I got better...) haha
But yeah, sorry about leaving you guys hanging. You guys could write your own version of what happens next. (Please just credit me if you use anything of mine... XP) I'd love to read them. :)
