WASH. TEEN FINDS GRUESOME END [Monday Nov. 2nd]

Bryce Willards, eighteen, was found strangled to death in his basement on Sunday afternoon after an anonymous tipper alerted Mount Vernon police to his whereabouts. He had last been seen Saturday night at a local teen's Halloween party, where he allegedly assaulted Thomas Jones - the host - and Jason Edward. Thomas - referred to as Tommy by his friends - was found under Willards' basement stairwell with severe bruising and several lacerations, mainly on his face and midsection.

The cops were originally informed of Willards' behavior when several teenagers called the MVPD complaining of infighting amongst their peers. Included in the list of callers was Jessica Lau, who said that Willards assaulted Lau's best friend Amanda Briars after Willards and Briars had an argument at the party. Briars disappeared shortly after the attack and could not be reached for comment.

Several instruments were found in Willards' basement, each with an array of fingerprints that weren't a match to Willards. Police are gathering the prints and so far there have been matches to three girls that have gone missing in the past year. No further bodies have been found.

Willards is survived by his two loving parents and his sister. None of them could be reached for comment.

Police say they also found a jar containing male genitalia with the body of Thomas Jones. Investigators have not yet identified who it belongs to.  

MURDERED TEEN CONNECTED TO STRING OF DISAPPEARANCES [Wednesday Nov. 4th]

The Mount Vernon Police Department has successfully connected the fingerprints and DNA from six missing girls in the Skagit Valley to Bryce Willards, who was found murdered in his basement two days ago. Police say that the prints of Willards and the six girls were found on the various instruments inside of Willards' basement, and discarded rags and ropes found under the staircase carried the DNA of some of the girls. The surviving relatives of Bryce Willards went with the police for question, but they refuse to speak with reporters.

Amanda Briars, seventeen, told the MVPD yesterday afternoon how she spent several hours trapped in the basement of Bryce Willards before he tried to strangle her. It was her, she confesses, that left his body in the basement and left the anonymous tip. Briars says that Halloween night, Willards kidnapped her and kept her in his basement after she terminated their relationship and spent the night with someone else. She alleges that Willards assaulted her shortly before the kidnapping and that she woke up missing her clothes and with several threatening messages on her phone. She is being held for further questions, but Briars's lawyer insists she'll soon be free.

"It was self-defense," Briars' lawyer insists. 

Her parents could not be reached for further comment.

During questioning, Briars mentioned Willards' violence towards Thomas Jones and Jason Edward, bringing forth the voicemails on her phone. Jessica Lau eventually came to cement this statement, as well as several other teens from the Halloween party that Willards et al attended.

In the meantime, police have identified the owner of the male genitalia found inside of Willards' basement. Jason Edward, nineteen, was taken to the hospital Monday morning alleging that Bryce Willards assaulted him earlier in the day, knocked him out, and hacked off his genitals.

"It was nuts," Edward says. "I woke up in agony. My mom couldn't believe that I managed to drive myself home."

When later called for comment on Amanda Briars, Edward only had this to say:

"What's done is done. She knew what she was doing I think. Honestly, the [redacted] deserved it after what he did to all of us."

MV teens are holding a ceremony to honor the lives of Bryce Willards and Thomas Jones later this afternoon.

"I can't believe Tommy is gone," stated Camron Garcia, a classmate of both Willards and Briars. "He was such a sweet guy."

"I don't care what that Amanda girl is saying. She had no right to murder Bryce."
