"I'm sorry, but -in the heat of the moment," I felt like someone had just punched me.

Jake had come up to me as I arrived at school, and apologised. Apparently he had a girlfriend. 

"THINK NEXT TIME BEFORE YOU ACT!' I yelled at him, and left. 

"What happened?" Dawn asked, as the rest of my friends glared at her. Naturally, she didn't notice but she must have realised what had happened, as she said;

"If you want to talk about it of course."

I didn't. 

Instead I steered the conversation away from anything to do with Jake. 

As the bell rung, I noticed that Keira hadn't called me. She was normally late, and always told us when she was coming. I voiced my thoughts and was met with concerned replies;

"Well, there is that thing with Serafina...: Cecilia said.

"But she normally comes anyway, and she didn't even date her for a day," Parvati added. 

Then, we split ways. thinking about Keira.

Keira wasn't at school the next day. 

I wrote furiously, trying to ease the pain. 

Keira's family never let anyone in their house, and I didn't get her parent's phone number. I had tried calling her, but she didn't pick up. 

I imagined a thousand things that could have happened to her. All equally as unlikely. 

Then, on the third day I got a message.
