Callous
You keep pushing,
You keep declaring,
You keep denying,
You keep fighting...
Fighting for the wrong things.
I'm trying to understand
Where you're coming from,
Why you are taking this stand.
I want to know why you're
Turning from
Him Who loves you more than
you'll ever understand.
You take words out of context.
You call Him a liar
When He's not.
You say that religion is offensive,
And try to put down the Bible,
Giving comments blazing hot.
You tell me to look at these acts
And say that they are okay.
Tears fall down my face knowing
That you feel this way.
Can't you see that this isn't right?
Can't you see that this is wrong?
Or have you grown so calloused
That you can't tell what's ice or fire
No matter how strong?
I want you to feel again.
You're so numb
You can't tell what's hitting you,
What's hurting you,
What's destroying you.
I need you to fight for what's true,
What's worthy, what's right.
I want you to pull away from the darkness,
And bask in His light.
Give Him your calloused hands.
He can make them new again.
Give Him your heart.
He will make you alive again.
