scarlett p.o.v

i woke up and felt something soft under me. i was still in wolf form but i felt something warm behind me. i opened my eys to find that i was in a spare bedroom in the pack house. by the looks of it its on the alphas floor based off of its looks.

I turn my head to look behind me and I see nothing. The door that leads to the hallway is shut and the room is silent. At the foot of the bed there is a pile of cloths with a note. I hop off the bed and walk over to the note.

When you wake up you might want some cloths.

I roll my eyes and shift back into human form. I quickly throw the cloths on and look around the room again.

I sigh and walk out of the room. I walk down the steps and into the alphas kitchen. There I found Noah and Landon, ace and derek. I sighed and took a seat between Landon and Noah.

"Alpha."

I acknowledged ace and he nodded back. I looked between everyone only to find that their eyes were on me.

"Yo?"

I ask and ace sighs. He looks down at his feet and back up at me. His gaze goes to Derek then to my brothers and back to me.

"Scarlett your going to go with Derek to his pack."

Ace says and I gasp. I stand up and Derek follows in suit.

"No way! I'm not going!"

I shout and Landon stands up.

"Scar yes you are. Noah and I are going as well."

He says and I scoff. I roll my eyes and stomp out of the room. I hear Derek follow me but I don't care.

"Just let her go. She needs time to cool off."

I faintly hear ace say as I slam the door open. I walk outside and shift into my wolf. I begin a long run around the whole territory.

I don't even think about trying to run off because ace has people in the trees who can easily shoot me down.

When I return to the back house it is very early morning. The sky is still black but some pink and orange are coming in. It must be around dawn. When I left it was around 10 in the morning. How long have I been running?

I shift back and put on my cloths. I walk into the pack house to see my bags by the door. The sounds of footsteps can be heard as well.

Noah and Landon apper at the top of the steps. They come down with their bags in hand. I smile at them and they smile back.

"So this is really happening, huh?"

I ask them and they nod. They set their duffel bags down next to mine. They turn to face me and they pull me into a hug.

"Derek will be down in a few minutes."

Noah says as they pull away from the hug. Landon soon follows after and I sigh. I can smell my mates scent of honey and home made bread. I hate to say it, but I love the smell. 

'So, so, so yummy.'

Speed says and I roll my eyes. She's always been distant and when she does come around she acts stupid.

I see Derek at the top of the steps. He's shirtless and in jersey shorts. His black hair falls over his blue eyes and his upper body is on full display. He begins to walk down with his beta following after.

He has a back pack in his hand as his eyes land on me. They look me up and down and he smiles.

"Scarlett it's lovely to see you again."

He says and I roll my eyes. He's a charmer I see.

"So your a charmer?"

I ask him and he chuckles. His voice is husky with sleep and his chuckle is low.

"Not always. But I would like to please my mate."

He says with a slight smile. I smile back as he approaches me. Some guards grab mine and my brothers bags and take them out to Derek's trucks.

"Let's get going then?"

Noah asks and Derek nods. We walk outside to find 3 trucks. I look at the trucks to make sure I approve. I find that they are GMCs and Chevys.

"Okay so one truck has all our bags. The other two are for us. Noah and Landon ride together. Scarlett and I ride together and chase drives."

Derek said and chase groaned. I was to tired to fight with him so I didn't even speak. I walked to the car with Derek and chase.

Derek held the back door open and I climbed in. He followed after me and shut the door behind him. Chase climbed into the drivers seat and turned the truck on.

I scooted all the way over to the window. Derek sat on the other end and chase turned the AC on full blast.

The air got colder and colder and I began to shiver.

"Can you turn the AC down please?"

I ask chase and he sighs.

"No, I guess you'll have to cuddle with Derek as I'm driving."

He said with a smirk on his face. I rolled my eyes and looked over at Derek. He had a smirk that played on his lips as he held his arms out.

"Fine, but only this once. I'm cold."

I mumble as I slide onto his lap. He wraps his arms around me as I lay my head on his shoulder.

Sparks spread where ever our skin touched. His body heat soon became my own and sleep began to lull me away.

"Sleep Scarlett, I'll protect you."

He says as sleep stole me from the harsh reality.
