I ran.

And I ran.

And I ran.

And I ran some more.

I finally chose to return to the main area. The pack house was beginning to be reconstructed to its former glory.

Derek was in his tent and kaden and Altaïr were ordering people around. I walked over to Derek's tent and walked in.

He turned to face me but he had tears in his eyes. It made my heart hurt to see him like that. It made speed whine which made me sad. Screw these hormones.

"Are you alright Derek?"

I asked him and he shook his head no. I walked over to him after I zipped the door up behind me. He was sitting on the ground.

His eyes were red and his cheeks were puffy. He had been crying, no doubt about that.

"What's wrong?"

I ask him and he sighs.

"It's nothing."

He mumbles as he tries to walk past me but I block his path. He looks at me and I look at him.

"No way is this nothing. Tell me what's wrong."

I beg him and he growls at me. That hurt speed but I just growl back at him. His eyes flash blue to gold; he's fighting his wolf.

"I am an alpha. You are a warrior. You have no right to tell me to tell you what's going on in my life. That's none of your concern no matter the rank."

He growls and I scoff. Speed takes some control but I also have some. I learned this is called half control.

"We are also your mate! We are your other half! Who cares what rank we are!"

We shout at him and he growls at us.

"Mate or not I have more power over you! You are to submit to me!"

He roars in our face. It dosent faze us as we are his mate. Alpha tone won't work on us. I've seen sage try to use alpha tone on Jaylin.

"Alpha tone can't! And won't! Work on us. We are an alphas mate so your tone will not work!"

He scream back at him and he chuckles.

"My tone might not, but Kaden's will."

He growls as he storms past me. I follow him out but I don't let him go peacefully. No, I tackle him to the ground.

"Get off me!"

He shouts as he tries to get me off. He succeeded as we fly off him. We land on the ground and we growl at him.

"Mate or not I challenge you to a battle!"

Speed and I shout and everyone around us gasps. Derek and I are so blinded by anger we don't even care.

"Challenge accepted!"

He roars and we begin circling each other. A crowd forms around us and people are shocked. I would be too if I saw the alpha and Luna fighting.

He lunges at me but I do a front Flip over him. I land behind him and I do as back flip. I land on his back and he falls to the ground.

He gets up and tackles me to the ground. He sends a punch to my face so I knee him in the balls.

'Hopefully we can still mate.'

Speed says but I ignore her. Derek gets back up and charges at me. I dodge him and leg sweep him.

He roars and shifts into his wolf. I shift into mine and we circle each other again.

I fake a bad left leg and Derek charges at that. I dodge him and scratch his back leg. He yelps but turns around and bites into my shoulder.

Someone begins yelling for kaden and Altaïr but I don't care. I scratch Dereks face and he let's go.

I lunge at him and head but him in the ribs. I hear his ribs Crack and he roars yet again. His eyes are fully black now; his wolf is in control.

I attack yet again and he chooses to play dirty. He runs behind me and drags a little 6 year old boy in the ring by his shirt. The boys parents are yelling and crying for Derek to stop.

The boy is wailing from fear and Derek lays him down. Derek opens his mouth and keeps it about 6 inches from the boys neck.

I get the message. Move and the boy dies.

I growl at him and kaden and Altaïr barge into the ring. Altaïr tackles Derek to the ground and kaden walks towards me slowly.

"Scarlett calm down."

Kaden says slowly and I growl at him.

"Scarlett your blinded by rage."

He says as he is tossed a shirt and jeans.

"Here, change into these."

He says as he hands me the cloths to change into. I slowly take them and trot behind a tree.

I shift but scream out in pain. The bite mark on my shoulder and the broken nose hurt.

I throw the shirt on and kaden comes around. He helps me up and turns around so I can get the pants on.

"Let's get you to the hospital."

He says as he walks with me. I look to see Derek in human form. He has to be carried by some guards. Altaïr is putting wolfsbane into him as we walk by.

We get to the hospital and I'm checked out. I'm cleared and kaden and i take a walk in the woods.

"I've never seen that happen before."

He says as he take a seat on a log.

"Seen what?"

I ask him as I put my elbows on my knees.

"Two mates fight each other and their wolves allow them to."

He says and I sigh.

"Well what do I do now?"

I ask him and he gives me a small smile.

"I would go apologize and talk it over."

He says and I roll my eyes.

"I was trying to do that when this whole thing started."

I tell kaden and he nods.

"Well talk to him tomorrow. I think the pack house is half way done."

He says as we walk back towards the pack house. When we get there I see Derek and Altaïr talking. Sometimes I think Kaden and Altaïr are like the wise older brothers of the alphas.

Derek walks over to me and kaden leaves me. Derek stands before me as he looks into my eyes.
