"Hey, Jake? Can we talk?" Heeseung asked. They just finished eating and now Sunghoon is washing the dishes while talking to Jay.

"Yeah, sure" Jake said and put his phone down. Heeseung went to the kitchen first to inform Sunghoon.

"Hubby, Jake and I are going to talk outside for awhile"

"Sure, love. But where?"

"Just by the pool"

"Aight, take your time" Then Heeseung left.

Heeseung and Jake went out, heading to the backyard where the pool is and sat down while their legs are on the water.

"What's with the sudden talk? You seem serious" Jake started.

"It's about Sunghoon"

"Why? Did he hurt you or something? Tell me–"

"Are you mad at him?"

".... What?"

"Tell me, are you mad at Sunghoon?"

"I– I'm not"

"Dude, do you have a beef with Jake or something?" Jay asked while he's watching Sunghoon wash the dishes.

"I don't. But I think he's mad at me"

"What? Why, though? Did you do something wrong?"

"Man, I don't know! He's just like that to me!"

"You should talk to him about it, y'know"

"I tried, earlier. He asked if I'm taking care of Heeseung and I said yes but it looks like he didn't believed me, he even threatened me. Damn, what's with your boyfriend?"

"He's not my boyfriend"

"What is he to you, then?"

"A friend, maybe"

"Yeah, whatever. Anyways, as I was saying..."

"Stop lying, I heard your conversation with him earlier. Why do you have to be so harsh, Jake? He's doing nothing wrong"

"But he's not taking care of you"

"He is, you can't just see it because all you see is the Sunghoon who is rude and all"

"I never said anything like that, and I never said that I'm mad at him"

"You don't have to say that you're mad because it's already obvious! Especially with your words!" Heeseung snapped. Jake was a bit shocked because this is the first time that Heeseung snapped out.

"What's with my words?"

"Why do you have to threaten him like that?!"

"I'm not threatening him, I'm just warning him. You know what, what's wrong with you? You're getting mad at me as if I did something wrong!"

"I'm not mad, but you're making me"

"Yeah? Like a care"

"Of course, you never care!"

"I always care, Heeseung! That's why I said all of those to Sunghoon! Because I care and I don't want you to get hurt!"

"You don't have to protect me like a damn child, Jake"

"Heeseung–"

"Yeah, whatever. Let's end this discussion, I don't want this to get worse" Heeseung said as he stood up, Jake immediately mirroring his actions.

"Heeseung, wait–"

"I don't know what Sunghoon did for you to act and treat him that way. If he did something wrong to you, then talk to him about it. Sunghoon is not the type of guy who won't accept his mistakes"

"Wow, you're saying that as if you knew him for very long. I even remember you calling him rude"

"I only said that because I thought he is, but staying with him for days made me realize that he has a good heart. Jake, you're being too harsh on him. If you can't treat him like a good friend, then don't even talk to me" With that, Heeseung walked inside the house, leaving Jake alone.

"Oh, wifey– what's wrong?" Sunghoon's brows furrowed after seeing Heeseung looks a bit sad and gloomy.

"Hey, wifey? Answer me, what's wrong?" Sunghoon asked with his voice full of concern. He cupped Heeseung's face and looked at him in the eyes. Suddenly, Heeseung hugged him.

"Jay, check on Jake" Sunghoon said. Jay nodded and immediately went outside.

"Baby, tell me what's wrong, please? Oh, shit. Are you crying? Hey, Heeseung?" Sunghoon literally panicked when he heard Heeseung sniffling.

"Heeseung, please. Don't just cry and be quiet, you're making me worry. Come on, love, talk to me" Sunghoon said but there's still no response from Heeseung.

"Sunghoon" Jay called from the door. Sunghoon looked up.

"Yeah?"

"Jake and I will go now, let's talk about this tomorrow" Jay's voice sounds serious.

"Sure. Take care, thanks for visiting" Sunghoon replied. Jay waved at him and went out, closing the door.

"Sit here, darling. I'll just go lock the gate" Sunghoon said. He's about to make Heeseung sit on the couch but Heeseung held him tighter.

Sunghoon sighed. Heeseung don't want to let go, that only means one thing.

He wants Sunghoon to carry him.

So that's what Sunghoon did. Heeseung's legs immediately wrapped around Sunghoon's while the latter held him tightly.

Sunghoon went out of the house to lock the gate then went inside again and locked all the doors. He headed upstairs while still carrying Heeseung and stopped in the middle of the hallway.

"Where do you want to sleep, darling?" Sunghoon asked. Still no response.

"Do you want to sleep in your room?"

Heeseung only shook his head.

"You want to sleep in our room?"

Heeseung nodded.

Sunghoon then went inside the master's bedroom, carefully laying Heeseung down on the bed.

"Are you ready to talk now?" Sunghoon asked, voice sounding so soft.

"If you're not, we can talk tomorrow" Sunghoon added as he gently caresses Heeseung's cheek.

"Alright, let's talk tomorrow" Sunghoon said when Heeseung did not reply after five minutes.

Sunghoon laid down, pulling Heeseung closer so he can hug him tightly. Ten minutes after, Heeseung finally talked.

"Sunghoon?"

"Yes, wifey?"

"Can we.. can we talk?"

"Go on, baby. You can tell me everything, I'm listening"

"Jake and I fought earlier.."

"Mhm? Why?"

"I actually asked him if we can talk, talk about you"

"What about me, love?"

"I asked, why is he so mean to you? I confronted him which led us to fight.. I... I'm mad at Jakey"

"Aw, baby, why?"

"Because he's not treating you well" Heeseung said with a pout, tears falling from his eyes.

"Baby, no, don't be like that. Don't get mad at him just because he's not treating me well, he's your bestfriend"

"But you're my fiancé, my husband"

"Heeseung, listen. I don't care if Jake gets mad at me and treat me bad everytime we meet, all I want to do is protect you. We agreed not to think of others, right, baby?" Sunghoon said as he wiped Heeseung's tears.

"R-right"

"There, there. Now stop crying, we will talk to Jakey tomorrow but for now, let's sleep. Okay?"

"M'kay"

"Sleep tight, love"

"Sunghoon, thank you"

"My pleasure, darling"
