Again, I've jumped into the Open Novella Contest fray, the seventh year in a row I have participated. For me, this is a favorite part of the Wattpad experience.

I chose prompt #129: The ink of our souls binds us beyond the pages of time.

This story is a stand-alone sequel to an earlier novella, titled "Cries of a Wounded Soul", and can be read on its own. But note that there will be a few spoilers.
