•°•Your POV•°•

I felt numb inside, like I lost feeling in every inch of my body. Endless tears ran down my face like small rivers. I just felt dead. I had just found out my lover, my everything, cheated on me the entire time of our relationship. I was a decoy, a pawn in his little game to get Petra jealous and make her get back with him.

·•·7 Hours Earlier·•·

I decided to visit Levi after I finished training. I wanted to rekindle our relationship since he has been becoming very distant for a while, so I decided to spice things up a bit. As I approached his office though, I heard grunts mixed with moans coming from inside. I felt a terrible aching feeling in my chest as I slowly approached the door and cracked it open a bit. I immediately regretted that decision as I saw Petra on top of Levi's lap on his chair, having sex.

I silently closed the door and ran to my room, tears evident in my (e/c) orbs as my (s/c) cheeks got slightly puffy, as well as dropping my love poem for him. I knew there was a reason why he was distant, but I never expected it to be this! I gave up being with other men to be with Levi, but I guess I was just his toy. I ran into my room and slammed the door as hard as I could. I jumped into by bed and screamed my pain out. The unbearable ache in my chest slowly subsided, but the pain was still there.

He used me. He didn't love me from the start, yet I was gullible to believe every lie he fed me. He chose me because I was the most innocent, gullible, idiotic girl he could get a hold of. How could I have been so blind to not have seen that? I wasn't precious to him. Petra was. I need to leave. I have to tell Commander Erwi- no. I can't tell him. I need to escape. Tonight when everyone is asleep.

·•·Present Time·•·

I had most of my stuff in a small bag. I wrote a letter to Hanji and basically told her that I wouldn't come back. I'd be safe, I just won't be seen ever again. I wrote why I was leaving and to not mention it to Erwin. I sighed heavily as I slid the note under her door and left to my room. I locked the door and looked out the window. I was 2 stories high, but I think I could be ok. I put on my black cloak, covering my face and slowly embraced myself for the fall, when I heard a knock at my door.

"Oi, brat! I need to talk to you." a familiar monotone voice said. Silence soon engulf the room as I didn't respond. The knocking became a bit more frantic after a couple of minutes. I was about to leap out when I heard the door break open and when I turned around, I saw a shocked Levi at the doorway.

"Adios mi amor." I said in Spanish before leaping out the window. I rolled once I landed and ran away, leaving everything behind and hiding it the shadows. I ran away with a broken, shattered heart.

•°•Levi's POV•°•

She escaped. She left me and the others for no reason. I was about to chase her down, when Hanji ran in and started to punch me. I saw tears and fiery in her chocolate orbs.

"You son of a bitch!! I wish (Y/n) was with a better man than your cheating, lying ass!!" She screamed. I froze at her words. She found out? How did she find out I was cheating. Is that why- oh no. (Y/n)... That's why she ran away. Because she learned the hard way of being heartbroken. I broke an innocent girl's heart without a second thought.

"Why couldn't you have just left her alone? She would've given her life for you and you still wouldn't have given a shit! She always told me how much she loved you and planned the future with you, but now she is alone and broken out there. She's going to be taken advantage of thanks to you. Great job asshole." She spat out before running away. What did I just do? I sighed as I walked back to my office. I suddenly saw a letter with my name on it. I quickly opened it and when I read it, I felt my heart feel heavy and aching in pain.
