Jin

Imagine for Armyyeheting

"Jin, we're gonna be late."

You stand in the doorway of the bedroom you share with your boyfriend, Jin. He's sprawled on the bed, scrolling aimlessly through his phone. He looks up briefly at you and groans in frustration.

"Aw, do we have to go?" He asks. He puts the phone down and stretches, his t-shirt riding up in the process.

"Yes, Jin, we have to go to the dinner my parents arranged. You have to meet them one day, you know." You reply.

You and Jin had been dating for a few months now and it was finally time for the dinner with your parents whenever you got a new boyfriend thing which is mandatory for your family. You had on your best dress and had prepared the perfect suit for Jin, one that you know your parents would like.

Jin sighs and gets off the bed. His hair is still messy from sleep and his shirt was extremely loose on him. He wanders over to you and stands close, your faces inches apart.

"You know, there's a lot of other things we could do instead." He says quietly, gently stroking your bare arm. "Make up an excuse for your parents and hang out, order pizza, watch some movies."

You sigh, trying not to concentrate on his fingers against your skin. You fail miserably and you resort to pushing it away.

"We have to go Jin. They want to meet you." You say gently.

He sighs, disappointed. "They're gonna hate me, I know it. I just want to hang out with you..."

He leans in a little, a slight smirk on his face but you push him away. He steps back a little, sighing again.

"I'm not gonna be able to change your mind, am I?" He says.

"Nope." You say, shaking your head. You feel almost triumphant for a second before you see his expression turn from flirtatious to nervous. "Hey, don't worry about it. I'm sure they'll love you Jin." You say brightly but you knew your parents judge harshly and it might not be that easy to please them.

He squints at you suspiciously. "I can see you're lying. They're gonna hate me."

"No they're not!" You say. "Listen, if you do this, just go to my house, sit down to a meal with my parents and then leave, then we'll do whatever you want." You place your hands on his shoulders and look him in the eye.

"Anything? Really?" He replies.

"Yeah, anything."

"Promise?"

"Promise."

"Okay, fine. Let's get this over with." He exhales loudly and runs a hand through his hair.

"That's the spirit! Wait here." You tell him.

You edge around him and run over to the wardrobe. You pull it open and lay eyes on the immaculate suit, gently taking it off the rack. You bring it over to Jin who immediately grimaces as he claps eyes on it.

"That looks uncomfortable." He says, reluctantly taking it out of your hands.

"You're gonna have to deal with it. Now hurry up and put it on, we're gonna be late." You say as you leave the room.

You wait outside the bedroom for a couple of minutes, occasionally glancing up at the clock on the wall anxiously. After nearly 5 minutes have passed you open the bedroom door slowly to see what was taking him so long.

"Jin, you're taking forever, hurry up!" You say.

"Ill be there in a second, I just need to- ah! I can't get this stupid thing on!" He replies, sounding frustrated.

You walk in to see him struggling with the tie for the suit. You force back a smile and hurry over to him.

"It's not that difficult, just let me do it." You say.

You stand close to him and do up the tie, poking your tongue out a little in concentration. You feel Jin's gaze on you and you briefly look up to see him staring intensely at you. He glances down at your lips before looking back up at you.

"We could still make up that excuse." He mumbles softly. "Have a lazy day in..."

"Jin, I-"

You start to speak but you get cut off by him suddenly pressing his lips against yours, pulling you into a kiss. His lips move against yours, gently but passionately and one of his hands tangles itself into your hair while the other presses against the small of your back, pulling you closer to him. You lose yourself in the kiss for a minute or so before remembering the situation. You pull back and playfully punch his shoulder.

"Hey! Stop trying to stall me. It's not gonna work." You say, your cheeks turning red.

"I wasn't stalling, I was... trying to get you to see my point. Staying here would be much more fun than a dinner with your parents. It's gonna be dead boring." He replies, his breathing a little heavy from the kiss.

"I already promised we'll do whatever you want, after the dinner. Now c'mon, it's time to go." You say. You quickly check the condition of his tie and then grab his hand, pulling him to the door.

Soon enough, both of you were out the door and driving toward your parents house. Once you had arrived, you quickly check over yourself and Jin, making sure you both looked perfect.

"Stop making a fuss. You look amazing. And so do I." Jin says, checking his now brushed hair in the car mirror.

"Yeah okay, let's go then." You say.

You both get out of the car and wall up to the house. You knock loudly, ignoring the pounding in your chest and the sweat collecting in your palms.

The door opens, revealing both of your parents. They smile at both of you but you can see them subtly judge Jin. He beams at them and bows down.

"Mother, father, this is Jin." You say, gesturing to him.

"It's so nice to meet you both." He says.

"Same to you." Your mother replies.

After more introductions and awkward small talk, the dinner starts. But, 5 seconds in, you immediately realise you're bored out of your mind. After your parents approved of Jin, all they did was talk about nothing interesting the whole time. You glance at Jin, who was across from you, and you see him give you the I-told-you-so look.

But that's when your parents decided it was okay to be majorly embarrassing and therefore entertaining for Jin.

"And this picture was when she was about three or four! Aw, look how she loved the rubber duckies in the bath!" Your mother slides a butt naked baby picture of you over to Jin.

"Aw, you were so cute Y/N." Jin says, looking at the picture and holding back the laughter as you turned bright red.

"Oh, look at the time! Jin and I should be heading off." You say, getting up from the table.

"I don't know Y/N. I'm having fun." Jin replies, taking a sip of his drink and looking over at you. You glare at him.

"No, I really think we should go."

"Are you sure dear? There's still dessert left-"

"We'll live mother. C'mon Jin." You walk around the side of the table and grab Jin's arm, yanking him up.

"Goodbye! Thanks for the meal." Jin calls out to your parents as you leave the front door.

"We are never going back there again." You say as Jin howls with laughter.

"That was amazing! We have to back one day, I didn't see all the pictures." Jin says, leaning against the car and laughing.

"Ugh, that was so embarrassing." You groan. You glare at him as he continues to laugh. "You know, if you keep laughing at me, you're not getting your lazy day."

"Huh? But you promised! Anything I wanted, remember?" He says, stepping closer to you.

"Hm. Well, you laughed at me, so I don't know if you deserve-"

He cuts you off yet again by grabbing your waist with both hands pulling you to him. Your bodies press together as he kisses you, his lips faster than before, more urgent. His hand travels up to your face and he cups it, pulling it closer to his. After a while, he pulls back, the slight smirk back on his face.

"Are you sure you don't want a lazy day with me?" He asks softly, stroking your face with his thumb.

"Uh, I, uh, no?" You say, slightly dizzy from the kiss.

"Thought so." He gives you one last soft kiss and drives you both home, talking about what movies he wants to watch the whole way home.

I though I'd change Jin's personality a little for this imagine just because I can.

Better or worse? I don't know, it was kinda like an experiment.
