Chapter 4

The Truth of RosePaw being actually a nice she-cat!

Hi guys! Chapter 4 where BubbleDream grows closer to RosePaw and finds out more about the apprentice's past. (EDITED)

BubbleDream padded through the forest and stopped dead when she heard quiet paw steps behind her. She turned to see RosePaw, her eyes wide.

"So, he was a nice tom." RosePaw's voice was filled with amusement, making BubbleDream blink in surprise.

"Hey, calm down. I won't tell, so long as you let me be closer to Owl feather." the apprentice mewed.

BubbleDream flicked her tail, and shrugged, "Since when did i say you can't?" RosePaw straightened up, her eyes gleaming with humour, "Oh yeah? Well make sure you don't come back to camp with WindClan stench all over your pelt or our clan mates will mistaken you as an outsider." she mewed as she padded past the warrior.

The creamy-grey she-cat hurried her pace to step beside the apprentice, "I thought you hated me." she admitted.

"Nah, I never hated you. I hate your friends though, I don't really blame you. You didn't  know how much it hurt me whenever I see you with OwlFeather but LeafShade and RippleHeart both knew." RosePaw replied.

"Oh, well, them two do that most of times. Keeping secrets only because RippleHeart believes I should be with OwlFeather but I have noticed you liked him. You stare at him most of time, mooning over him." Bubble dream purred.

RosePaw looked embarrassed, "He is nice and...handsome I guess." she mewed.

The two cats chatted their way to camp, making the cats stare at them in surprise. RosePaw had told BubbleDream a joke which made the warrior laugh aloud.

RippleHeart and LeafShade's mouths were open with shock, "What in the name of StarClan?"

RosePaw flicked her tail with frustration and stalked up to the two warriors, "You talk like I can't be friends with BubbleDream!" she snapped, "Well guess what, I can." she spun around, giving BubbleDream an annoyed look before stalking back into the apprentices' den.

WhiteStar was sitting below the high ledge, watching the tension. She gave her niece a curious glance, who shrugged with confusion.

"Hey you two!" BubbleDream called, LeafShade flicked her tail with annoyance and RippleHeart sighed as their padded over, the three cats padded out of camp.

"What were you doing with that fox dung?" LeafShade hissed as they stopped.

BubbleDream glared at her, "She isn't a fox dung. She is quite a good friend, thanks." she snapped.

Her friends looked taken back at her sharp reply, "Why are you defending her? RosePaw has been so rude and mean to you and now you're backing her up." RippleHeart sounded puzzled.

"Because RosePaw doesn't hate me, but she does hate you two, I'm afraid." Bubble dream replied.

LeafShade grunted, "Why doesn't that surprise me?" RippleHeart nudged her friend before looking back at the creamy-grey warrior.

"Why?"

BubbleDream sighed, "She says it hurts her whenever she sees me with OwlFeather but she doesn't blame me for not knowing her pain. She says both of you knew about it but never show any sympathy and I realised she was right." she mewed.

LeafShade's fur bristled, "You believe her over your two best friends?" She snarled with disbelief. RippleHeart laid her tail on the brown she-cat but she too looked angry.

"How could you?" RippleHeart whispered, her eyes were wide with shock.

BubbleDream snorted, "The way I see both of you look at her, of course. You two believe I should be with OwlFeather but have you ever asked me how I felt about him? No, you didn't. Instead you force me to be with OwlFeather." she snapped.

RippleHeart and LeafShade shared an angry glance, "We are only doing it to make OwlFeather happy!" RippleHeart hissed, LeafShade nodded in agreement.

"Oh, but have you ever tried to make me happy? Your own best friend who had supported you both for many moons and of course, the clan doesn't care about me because I, after all, is the odd one out!" BubbleDream snarled, feeling quite hurt to hear that her best friends were only doing it for making the tom happy, not her.

"I can't believe you two would rather see OwlFeather happy than me happy. Now I don't think you wanted to be my friend, only to make yourself popular." Bubble dream spat before spinning around and stalked back to camp.

Her fur was bristling as she entered camp, her eyes blazed with anger and pain. She quickly paced over to shadowy part of the camp and settled herself in the shade.

BubbleDream groomed her ruffled fur and sensed some movements. She looked up to see RosePaw.

"Hey,"

"Hi."

"Uh, where is LeafShade and RippleHeart. I noticed you came back without them two." her eyes widened, "You had an argument didn't you?"

BubbleDream shrugged, "What if we did? LeafShade and RippleHeart got angry because I believed you not them and they told me they only wanted me to make OwlFeather happy and of course they never asked me how I felt about him." She spat out the last words as if it had venom in it.

RosePaw's ears flattened, "You know you didn't have to believe every word I say, right?"

BubbleDream looked at her, "I believed you because I've seen them how they look at you." she replied.

The apprentice sat down, shuffling her paws. "No cat used to believe me, not even my own parents only because of my attitude and I mostly get punished by my father as he thinks I was lying when I told him that my brother was the one that did something wrong." she mewed.

"And your mother supported your brother too?" BubbleDream sounded amazed, "Well, I'm sorry that you got in trouble for something you didn't do."

RosePaw shrugged, "Well, you didn't know until now. But that's the past now, I abandoned them because I couldn't stand living with them. I left the night after my father got ill. I felt he deserved it and I was the only one who knew herbs so if he died, I would be blamed but they can't, can they, unless they find me." she pointed out.

BubbleDream nodded, "My mother died when I was kit, got killed by rogues. My sisters left to  join the loners who rescued us, they felt safer with them than with the clan. I stayed here because i didn't want to leave my father," she sighed.

RosePaw blinked, "I actually thought White star was your mother." she admitted.

The warrior turned to the apprentice, "You did? I don't really look like her though. WhiteStar is my father's sister." BubbleDream replied.

RosePaw nodded, "That explains it why WhiteStar and LarkHeart don't really hang out together and that he, DarkMind and SnowLeaf always talk to each other."

"You know your lucky right, being kin to the clan leader and medicine cat. Your related to important cats." RosePaw mewed.

"Maybe so, hey! Want me to ask WhiteStar to give you your warrior name?" BubbleDream asked, "I don't think you should wait any longer now."

RosePaw brightened up then died away, "I don't think that's how it works." she muttered.

BubbleDream flicked her tail impatiently, "Do you want to be warrior so you can be mates with OwlFeather or not?" She mewed.

The apprentice looked past and her eyes widened, "Uh, OwlFeather and BearStrike are coming over here. RippleHeart and LeafShade right behind them! I think they told the toms." RosePaw squeaked.

BubbleDream spun around, her eyes wide with shock, "Quickly, run!" she hissed.

RosePaw stared at her before shot out of the bushes and leapt over the log into the apprentices' den.

BubbleDream blinked as she watched and turned to the cats.

OwlFeather's and BearStrike's eyes were dark with anger.

"Is this true? You rather believe a cat you never trusted before than your two best friends?" BearStrike snarled.

BubbleDream stepped back, startled, then recovered, "Who asked you anyway?" She snapped angrily.

OwlFeather hissed, "It matters to us! How can you take side with that filthy apprentice than ours?" he glared at the she-cat he had loved.

The creamy-grey she-cat snarled, "None of your concern! Stop sticking your nose in other cats' business!"

The toms towered over her, but BubbleDream didn't back down, her eyes were blazing with anger and turned to her former two best friends and spat, "I don't know why we were best friends in the first place. I always believed in you two but now I don't even know who to trust anymore!" she spun around stalked off, her tail lashed.

WhiteStar looked up in surprise, so did her siblings. ShadowPaw was glaring at the group of cats and murmured to Dark mind, who nodded.

TigerBlaze looked at BubbleDream with concern before turning to the cats who had argued with the she-cat and glared at them.

SkyPaw seemed not excited to train with her mentor anymore, NightPaw grunted and asked his mentor a question, TigerBlaze nodded with agreement.

------------------------

BubbleDream's eyes were clouded with anger and had asked if she could sleep in the apprentices' den.

WhiteStar agreed with no questions as she had watched everything.

The creamy-grey warrior settled herself next to RosePaw and drifted to sleep.

------------------------

BubbleDream blinked her eyes open, she looked confused, "huh? Where am i?"

"In StarClan, of course, my dear one." a voice from behind made her turn.

BubbleDream blinked, "I haven't died, have i?" she tipped her head.

"No, darling, you haven't" answered the starry warrior.

"Who are you?" BubbleDream asked curiously.

The starry warrior blinked, "I am IceMist, your grandmother." she mewed.

BubbleDream stared at the warrior, "Your my father's mother?" she asked with awe.

"Yes."

"Okay, IceMist. Why am i here?" she asked.

The warrior padded over to BubbleDream, "It's time you know about your mother's past. It has been a secret in Thunder clan but now it is time that you know the truth."

"Look," the white warrior pointed her tail over.

BubbleDream padded over to the place and settled down, watching the scene.

-------------------------------------------------

DaisyPetal's POV:

"Daisy!" A voice purred in my ear. I looked up, "What is it, Gar?" I asked drowsily.

"Dad is back!" as soon as I heard that my father was back I scrambled to my paws, "Where?" I demanded.

The brown tom purred, "Over there! I need to wake Terra now, c'ya!" Garth raced over to his other sister.

I blinked and turned to search for my father. A brown tom with golden stripes was sitting, he looked up, "Ah, Daisy." he purred, padding over to me.

"Hello, father." I dipped my head.

"You have grown, so has your brother." he remarked.

"You've changed since we last met." I replied, my ears flicked.

The tom blinked and nodded, "Yes, I have." he sighed.

"Father!" Another voice made both of us turn. I saw my sister, Terra and my brother, Garth racing towards us.

"Terra." my father mewed.

The creamy-she with peachy-pink stripes dipped her head.

Garth and I shared an uncomfortable glance, we both knew how our father felt about his other daughter, who looked exactly liked his mate's grandfather.

"Father, lets go and introduce you to more cats!" Garth mewed trying to distract the tom from his daughter.

The tom looked up, his eyes shined, "Of course, go ahead. Oh and you may call me by my real name now, you two are both old enough to do so." he purred.

I looked passed my father and stared at my sister, who's fur was bristling with fury.

Garth gulped, "Uh sure, Kay."

My father's name was Kayak, but cats call him Kay for short.

Kayak chuckled, "It's sounds funny when you say it."

I glanced at Garth, who was laughing so hard, "Damn, it did!" I licked my chest, my blue eyes shined, but when I saw the anger and hurt in Terra's eyes, my spirits fell.

"Lead the way, kids." Kay mewed, flicking his tail. Terra stalked past him, her tail lashed with frustration.

I sighed and beckoned my brother to me, "We need to make sure Kay is proud of Terra as he is to us." I mewed, Garth nodded in agreement, "But how?"

Good question...

"How about...we go and have an accident then Terra can save us!" I smiled at Garth's suggestion, "Good idea! But what is the trouble?" I asked the brown tom.

"Eh, maybe get attacked by fresh kill." he joked, making me laugh, "Oh, Garth!"

Kayak looked over his shoulder, his eyes questioning, "What is so funny that made you laugh, Daisy?"

I looked at my father, you sound like that I can't laugh! she thought with annoyance.

"Nothing." I muttered under my breath, making the brown, golden striped tom nod before turning his head back.

"Okay, let's be more quiet, Kayak will bound not to hear." Garth whispered, I nodded.

A few days later, me, Garth and Terra had been separated from our father. He has been going in and out of the camp, always smiling, making us a bit suspicious

We never get to our plan because Kayak is always outside of the camp, I was out hunting with my siblings, I was chasing a mouse when I heard a voices, I leapt into one of the bushes. I gasped when I saw saw father with another she-cat, purring.

Terra and Garth followed me and also gasped, "I knew it!" my brother snarled, "He's been mates with Gold! No wonder their kits are our age!"

"So, this is the reason you have been leaving camp? To see this golden rat?" Terra growled, stepping out.

Kayak turned in shock then recovered.

"What?" he asked, his eyes filled with guilt.

Me and Garth followed, the tom's eyes showed no emotion but hatred, "I thought you became mates with our mother because you loved her!" he hissed.

"Your mother was a fool to believe I loved her then!" Kayak snarled, his fur bristled with fury, Gold's eyes widened, "Kayak, you told me you didn't have a mate or kits." she growled.

"My old mate died, these kits don't need a father." The tom replied, turning to the golden she-cat.
Terra's fur bristled, "Oh yeah? I thought you hated golden cats!" Kayak turned to his daughter, his eyes darkened with hatred and distrust, "You were the last kit to be born, you caused your mother to die." he growled.

Terra's eyes widened, "I did not!" she spat, Kayak's tail lashed and turned, "Let's go, Gold. We can't stay here." he muttered.

"Don't even think you can come back!" Garth snarled, I said nothing but I hissed and spat.

Kayak and Gold left us, Gold looked over her shoulder, her eyes filled with sympathy and shock before turning back to follow her mate.

I sighed, "I kind of feel bad for Gold now. She has to suffer the truth with Kayak." I mewed.

Garth and Terra looked at each other, "Daisy, you were the closest to Kayak. Maybe you should leave. Don't suffer anymore. Find a family you can love." Terra mewed softly, Garth smiled sadly, "Me and Terra were never as close as you were to him. Go and never come back. We will make sure that Kayak believes you are dead. Then he can suffer the grief."

My eyes widened, "B-but." Terra's tail brushed my mouth, "It's alright. We will find our families we can love; but you need it more than ever." she mewed.

I sighed and nodded, "Well...good luck, Terra. Good luck, Garth." I stepped forwards to touch my nose with my sibling's. Terra purred as Garth pressed his muzzle against mine.

"Fare well, my sister." Terra waved her tail as I started to back away.

--------------------------------------------------
BubbleDream's eyes widened, "Terra looks almost exactly like RosePaw." she whispered

"That's because Terra is RosePaw's mother." IceMist replied, her eyes soft.

BubbleDream faced the spirit, "That makes us kin, on my mother's side,"

IceMist nodded, "Hm, do you miss your sisters?" she asked unexpectedly.

The creamy-grey warrior stared at IceMist, "Of course I do..why?"

The starry warrior sighed, "They have problems..that's why. They may come back but I cannot tell you when."

BubbleDream looked down, "Well, I have a question."

Ice mist looked at the warrior, "Yes?"

The she-cat looked up, "Do you know anything about a prophecy?"

The spirit blinked, "Yes, yes i do."

BubbleDream stepped forwards, "Does it have anything to do with Thunder clan?"

"You will find out soon."

That's no answer!

"Why can't you tell me now?" She demanded.

IceMist shook her head, "I cannot stay any longer. Goodbye my darling, tell my kits that I wish them well." she whispered before fading away, leaving BubbleDream alone in the darkness with the truth flashing in her head.

-----------------------------

THE TRUTH HAS BEEN TOLD!

BubbleDream and RosePaw are related!

Since DaisyPetal was not forest born, it makes BubbleDream and her sisters half clan, half loner.

Surprisingly, RosePaw doesn't hate BubbleDream at all! Even though she doesn't know they are kin, she finds the warrior quite amusing and crazy, instead she hates RippleHeart and LeafShade, both former best friends of BubbleDream.
