Every new day
my eyes now radiate
gleaming like never before
with self-confidence
I'd once failed to obtain.

I see my worth in society
thanks to people around me
who helped cure my anxiety
and the hopeless wreck I'd be.

I used to think I was a nobody
worthless and only reliant
on those who were valiant;
those who could face society
with their heads held up high
unlike the faint of heart like myself,
who always believed
that the end was nigh.

But now I realize
thanks to people around me
who bring me smiles and cheers
and I go home all jolly.

How I could inspire
and how I could retire
from the worries choking my neck
insecurities always hanging on my back
but with people around me
giving me strength and energy
to face life more fiesty
than I'd ever been.
