Chapter 6
Albert was cooking food an hour later, Adrien had found the first aid box in Cassie's bag and now had a bandaid. Sean was throwing pebbles and small rocks at trees out of boredom, one bounced back and hit him in the forehead. "Ow what the hell-" Cassie shook her head and went to wake up Chole. Eventually Chole walked out of her tent and was applying some bug spray being more careful than last time. "Okay anyone else have a hard time sleeping? I thought I heard something outside last night.." Chole spoke up among the quiet group. It went dead silent, Adrien thought for a minute before remembering. "Nicole.." Albert stood up and grabbed Sean's shoulder. "What the fuck. Did you leave her out there??" Sean looked blankly at the annoyed male who was holding onto him with a really strong grip. "Let go and I'll show you.." Albert let go and the rest of the group followed Sean into the woods.
Silence fell on the group as they found themselves looking at the tree that Nicole was tied to with a belt yesterday. However the only problem was, The belt had a slice in it.. Like from a pocket knife. Oh and there was no longer a girl there. "Uh.." Adrien looked around. "Guys I think we should leave.." Sean raised an eyebrow. "And go where? I can't get into an uber.. They'll recognise me.." Adrien nodded a bit before Cassie looked over. "It couldn't hurt to try.. We can put contour on you so it looks like your face has a different shape?" Sean scowled. "That will ruin my face-" Adrien shook his head. "It's the best we got.. Oh and you can wear one of Albert's shirts!" Sean glared down at Adrien who shrank away a little. "What's wrong with my clothes?" Chole looked Sean up and down. "Everything. Now let us change up your looks for a little bit.. It's only a 30 minute drive.."
Sean looked into the little handheld mirror at himself, he looked... different alright. Contour changed what his face shape looked like entirely, He was wearing a green t-shirt from Albert, Make-up freckles as well and wearing Adrien's reading glasses. To say the least he didn't look like Sean anymore. "It.. works.." He mumbled, Cassie and Chole cheered. Adrien quickly called an uber as everyone packed up their stuff, The extra backpack was given to Sean to make it look like it was his. Albert thought this was a brilliant plan. Adrien checked his phone to notice that the uber would take five minutes to get to their little campsite area. "That's not too long.." Albert mumbled as Sean fidgeted nervously.
The uber driver smiled at everyone in the backseat squished together. "So! It looks like you guys had fun! You went camping?" Cassie awkwardly nodded. The driver seemed to be super upbeat and in a good mood. Adrien glared out the window, the only reason they all fit was because Chole was sitting on Alberts lap and Adrien was kind of sitting on Sean's legs, and Cassie was squeezed in on her own seat. "I would've rather lay in the trunk." Adrien mumbled to himself. Albert and Chole laughed as they had no problem with the seating arrangement they were practically dating. Sean quietly spoke whispering and leaning close to Adriens ear. "There's a lot of luggage back there- you wouldn't have fit." Adrien put his hand on Sean's face pushing it back. "Space dude." Sean shook his head, "Sorry- Forgot." He lied.
Cassie, Sean, and Adrien were at Cassie's fathers house. Her dad was never home so it was best for them to be here. Since they came home a day early, It was empty of people as usual, Sean was looking at the ceiling wondering how the hell he managed to get here. The group was silent. "So..what now?" They all shrugged and Cassie's phone rang. She answered it only to be met with the yelling voice of her mother. "I told you that it should be my weekend! Where are you??" Cassie quickly turned down the sound on her phone and rushed out of the room. "Uhm.. what now?" Sean fidgeted with the end of Alberts shirt. Adrien glanced around. "I don't know.. My mom would be home right now.. This house is our only chance.." After awhile you could hear from the other room Cassie yelling into her phone. "I'm driving over to pick your ass up be ready!" The voice from the phone exclaimed before the call disconnected. "..." Cassie looked at the two boys with slightly teared up eyes. "Hey.. sorry guys.." Adrien shook his head. "No its alright we'll find a place.." Sean glared at the floor and muttered, "Where? Where would we even go?" Adrien went quiet again and looked on his phone to see if anyone was available. Albert was busy watching some sport on T.V. with his dad and sister. Chole was talking about the camping trip, coming up with lies so it was convincing enough for her mom to believe.
