Kokichi's POV
How the hell was all of this going on? When did they even have time to do all of this? I was amazed by how well put together this whole thing is.

Staying in the base was calming and it was nice for a while...but there was always the feeling of grief and misery over our heads...

"Kokichi, we have been notified a member of the group has been detained." Maki tapped my shoulder. My eyes widened at her statement.

"We need to go then!" I said getting my gear and getting Shuichi ready as well. Maki gave a small nod before she went to get the others.

"Are you sure about this?" Shuichi asked timidly. I could tell he was scared about actually having to confront someone from the group who blew up our home and has been rumored of torturing other people...

"Yeah, it's going to be alright! I'll be right by your side ok?" I held his hand in my own and looked up at him. After a couple of moments, he returned the gesture and looked at me.

"Ok, promise me you won't do anything rash..." He looked to the side with a blush coming to his cheeks. I let my hand move to the cup the side of his face slowly turning his head to face me.

"I will try my best," I said with a small smile. His eyes widened.

"Kokichi?! That's not a promise-" I cut him off by pulling him down into a kiss. I could feel him argue against my lips for a moment before he gave in.

It wasn't a long kiss because Rantaro came into the room moments later. "We need to go..." He whispered making all my nerves go back to being terrified.

"Alright," I said calmly as Shuichi gave him a small nod. He walked out of the room to where the others were already down the tunnels. We all put on our glasses to be able to see where we were going...and to be able to see the others.

"Remember this group is not something you want to get involved with...so don't talk to him or touch him at all...let me do the talking," Maki said coldly sending shivers down my spine.

"Understood." We all said quickly before we went back to going silent. The feelings and the aura this place brings makes me just feel scared...more scared than I have felt in a long time.

The trip wasn't that long...I'm assuming it was at another groups camp...because Maki didn't give me a lot of information...

"Ok, here they are..." She whispered putting her hand up signaling for us to stop. After a moment she closed her hand and returned it to her side. Signifying that we could proceed up the ladder.

It looked like Hajime's camp...and Hajime and Nagito stood over by the criminal...his clothes were ripped and his face was beaten. He had bruises and blood all over his face. His left eye was bruised and black...and his hands and neck had bandages all over them.

"Oh look more people who want to be sacrificed~," He has a loving and sadistic tone. He was blushing and drooling like he was enjoying himself...what is with this dude? What did they do to him?

"Shut up! Just tell us where he is!!" Hajime yelled walking in front of him raising his fist.

"Where who is~?" The criminal's facial expression didn't change. What sadistic fuck is this?! I felt a shiver go down my spine knowing that we could have been captured by these Sadistic fucks...Shuichi could have been- Shut up brain!!

I shook my head a couple of times before focusing back on the sadist and Hajime.

"Your boss for fucks sake!!" Hajime was clenching his teeth. I could tell he just wanted him to comply. He just wanted to get an answer after searching for clues.

"Why would I tell you that~?" The guy strapped in the chair was still teasing...does he have a death wish? I mean knowing the group he came from...

"Because we will hurt you!! We need to take him out to save countless people!!" Hajime screamed with tears in his eyes. Nagito walked over to him and put his arm around his waist in an attempt to comfort him or at least calm him down.

"Oh well, in that case, do as you please~," Hajime snapped his fingers, and Nedai and Akane came in with some small knives.

They asked him the same questions over and over again but he wouldn't give in. Every time he wouldn't answer or didn't give them a good answer they would cut his legs. They started at his ankles and moved their way up his body. I felt my body shudder.

Shuichi grabbed my hand tightly. I know he hates seeing others in pain...and this definitely is not something that would be good for any of us to see...but we need information.

Bang

BANG

Three gunshots sounded before Akane and Rantaro dropped to the ground. I couldn't move for a moment before my instincts kicked in and I rushed Shuichi back into the tunnels.

"Go back to the base! It's not safe here!!" I yelled feeling tears prick in my eyes. Shuichi started crying more than he was already.

"But what if you get hurt!? I want to help you!!" He yelled visibly shaking.

"I can't let you get hurt, please...just go!!" I yelled back feeling more tears drop out of my eyes.

Kaede was put back into the tunnel to go back with Shuichi so me and Maki could take them out. The hostage was missing, no surprise there...and there were maybe 13 people surrounding us.

I grabbed the gun out of my holster getting ready to shoot. Maki was already three steps ahead of me and has already taken out some of them. I turned around so my back was towards Maki so we could both get the people on our side and making it easier because we didn't have as many targets.

More reinforcements came in so quickly that it scared me how many people were with them. They were moving in closer to us.

Slice

A knife was thrown past my leg cutting my thigh. But the blade was coated in some substance that made it immediately start stinging immensely. I gasped at the pain but not my tongue and kept going on.

They took out Hajime's group members one by one until there were only four left...we didn't expect this...but we should have...
