"No , you said!"

"How?"

"D-did you see anything?"

"No , it was too fast"

"Not even James can run that fast"

"That's because James doesnt fly!"

"It was flying?"

"It was black."

"Everything's pitch black now!"

You're probably wondering what's going on. Well , let me enlighten you. It all started when the four friends were entering the forest. By car. And as we all know , Mother Nature detests all things that are destroying the environment. Rose had already warned them that there had been rumours of the trees being able to talk and move around. Ethan evidently was not paying attention and had decided to pee on the tree. After he had satisfied himself by "removing" all his "waste products" , the excitement began.

Mother Nature had had enough of the humans that had destroyed and killed her descendants. And so , she called the ravens to swoop over them and crash their car. The only person that did not seem rattled by car accident was Zoe. Mother Nature was puzzled by this and quickly sent a message to Fate. What Mother Nature didnt know was that Fate had been wanting Zoe to understand Him more , and get closer to Him. Thus , He would finally be able to use her as a pawn in his plans.

"Just check the car James." Rose finally said.

"I told you , its smashed to smithereens. The engine's broken. Tires all have holes in 'em"

"Right then , we'll just have to umm ..."

"Walk" , Zoe finished for her , then hastily added , "But , why not we spend the night here?" She could see that Rose was still rattled by the accident. Zoe decided that the best thing to do at this time now , was to rest , and let everyone recover from the shock.

The creases on Rose's face lessened and she gratefully nodded in approval.

"Right then." James proceeded to climb thhe largest tree that was above them. He held out his hand for Zoe , only to be embarassed. She had already heaved her bag up to the highest branch and was now climbing down to help Rose up.

"Bet you wished you learnt how to climb with us now , eh Ethan?" teased Zoe.

"Ha - ha. Very funny."

Once they were all safe and up on the branch ( which suprisingly held all them and their bags weight ) , they all had a good laugh and bade each other goodnight.

"Well , rest up guys. We got a - yawn - loooong day ahead tomorrow."

"Nitez"

"Zzzz"

James was the last one to sleep. He decided to keep watch until all the others had slept. A cold feeling suddenly swept over him. He could not , would not , open his eyes. By the times he could , he looked around to find that there was nothing there.

Nothing , but darkness ahead of him.
