Varian and Lance stood in a room together talking about the party and other stuff when Varian froze still as he looked at the girl who he had been dreading to see. "Cass! You You weren't supposed to arrive for another three days?" Lance said as he walked up to the girl, giving her a bone-crushing hug. Cass faked an awkward laugh as she saw Varian staring at her.

"Yeah, it started to rain so Rowan, Elena and I, thought we should get to the castle before it worsens" she said as the two males spotted the two blonde's standing behind Cass.

"And who are you two?"

"Elena," the teenage said as she pointed to herself, "And he is Rowan" she than guested to her younger brother who was hiding. "Weren't you listening?"

Lance was a little taken back by the girl, not expecting so much sass but the girl was a friend of Cass so what could he expect. "You know, Elena, I have two girls your age, maybe you might become good friends".

Cass walked over to Varian, "It's nice to see you again Varian".

"I guess" he said quietly, playing with his gloves. He pulled on the rubbery fingers on the gloves, he looked down at his feet. "Um..." Varian started but didn't end up saying anything.

"Mummy?" the young boy said to Cass making both Lance and Varian's heads snap, looking down to Rowan. Cass, herself was even a little surprised at the blond's voice.

Cassandra looked down to Rowan, who was grabbing her leg, "Yes Row?"

"Can I touch the man's cat?" he whispered, pointing at Rudiger. This made Varian loosen up, a smile forming on his face.

Rudiger chirped and walked up to Rowan, rubbing his head on the child's foot. Rowan laughed as pat Rudiger, scratching his head softly.

Varian sighed and looked over to Lance, "Lance, when my father comes back, tell him he is in charge" After speaking, he left, leaving the four confused on his change of mood.
