"Fancy seeing you here, I didn't know you knew Joshua" Jeonghan said with a smirk on his face, taking a seat beside me on the couch as the couple making out left upstairs, without a breath.
"Oh I don't, I came with someone" I twiddled my thumbs and uncrossed my legs. Jeonghan placed his arm on the couch behind me, the same as Hansol was doing before he left to tend Joshua.
"I see, are you enjoying the party?" I nod quietly, I was about to say something when Jeonghan cut me off.
"Let's have some fun, you look all too sober to be at a party. Let me go grab some shots" I was about to protest that I didn't drink when Jeonghan got up and left, making his way into the kitchen. I sunk in my seat, there was no way I was taking shots. I started to panic, maybe I should make a run for it. I was at the brink of getting out of my seat when Jeonghan returned, balancing four shots in between his hands.
"Hope you like tequila!" He cheers, propping them down on the coffee table after brushing off the dozens of empty plastic cups.
"Jeonghan, I don't uh drink" I stutter as the nerves got to me, was he really going to make me do this? The silver haired boy forced the small glass into my hand as I stared at it, trying to gulp down my nerves.
"It will be fine Hana, loosen up a bit." He chucked down his first shot with no sign of burning down his throat. Picking up his other one he nodded for me to go.
"Jeonghan I really don't want to, please don't make me" now I was really starting to panic. Jeonghan was obviously not sober and who knows what he would do to make me take this shot.
"Hana, for gods sake just-" the boy was cut off when another voice came in, snatching the shot glass out my hand they glared at the silver haired boy.
"She said she didn't want to do it" Hansol sounded angry as he softly placed the tequila on the table, taking a seat beside me. He crossed his arms and I tried to not take notice of the adorable grumpy look he had on his face. His hair was even more messy than when he left, making me wonder how much effort it was to put Joshua to bed.
"Hansol! I was wondering when you were gonna show up" Jeonghan slurred, drowning down his other shot. I side glanced Hansol, I didn't know they knew each other.
"I've been here this whole time" Hansol said bluntly, unamused by the drunken boys attitude. Jeonghan looked between us both, like a tennis match was going on in his head. Then he opened his mouth like he realized something.
"You guys came together" Jeonghan winked, leaving me and Hansol to share a confused look.
"I see, Hana you didn't tell me you had a budding romance!" His cheerful comment made me choke on my own spit. A budding romance? With Hansol? Hansol had the same reaction to me, giving me an embarrassed side glance we both opened our mouth to speak.
"We don't have a budding romance!" we say in in sync, as Jeonghan smiles wider.
"Well that's good news then, I wouldn't want anyone stealing my little Hana from me" I groan in annoyance as Jeonghan grabs my cheek in his hand, wiggling it around. What am I five? I am certainly not little. Hansol flicks the boys hand away from me, a scowl plastered on his pale face as he grabs my hand and pulls me up.
"We are going now, I'll see you later" Hansol says bluntly as he drags me off through the crowd. We find ourselves caught amongst the many dancing and grinding bodies. I get shoved, causing me to collapse into Hansol's chest as he grabs my waist to support me. My hands are placed on his chest as I look up to connect eyes with him.
"Well we are at a party we may as well dance for a bit." I smirk as he everts his eyes from me, getting flustered at how close we were. I place my arms around his neck loosely and start to move my hips to the upbeat song. His grip tightens on my waist as her starts to move hesitantly.
Minutes later the embarrassed mess that Hansol was, was now a dancing Hansol whooping and singing to the loud songs blasting through the speakers. Grabbing my arms he twirled me around so my back was pressed to his front, although neither of us seemed to mind.
We both swung to the music at ease, probably looking like a bunch of idiots when Hansol started wailing his arms about. An outsider must of thought of us as a drunk pair who couldn't control their body parts. Although we were sober and just having fun.
"It's getting hot in here, wanna go outside?" I jumped, didn't realizing how close Hansol was to my ear as his lips grazed against it. We had probably been dancing for an hour and the heat of the bodies just started to hit me as sweat started to form on my forehead. I untangle myself from him and nod, trying to maintain myself of the thought of him being so close to me. He grabs my arm and drags me through the crowd, trying not to loose me.
Going through the large glass doors we made it to the empty backyard. The music was blaring from inside as the ground shook, although now we would be able to clearly hear each other.
The backyard was spacious, trees flooded in random spaces with a small fountain in the middle. Colorful flowers decorating the vibrant grass as birds flew in and out of the trees. If the pounding of the music wasn't there I would be in peace.
Hansol dragged me off to a small bench surrounded by all of the trees, sitting down we were silent for a few moments as we tried to cool down.
"I'm sorry for leaving you alone, and making you have to put up with Jeonghan. I didn't know he would try and make you drink" Hansol coughed, rubbing the back of his neck. We hadn't spoken about Jeonghan during the dancing but I had expected for him to show up in a conversation some time during the night.
"It's alright, you were helping Joshua. That was nice of you to help him" Hansol seemed unfazed by my compliment as he stared in front of him with a small silly smile on his face. Pulling out my phone I checked the time.
"It's three am, what time should we be heading back." I sigh, shoving my phone back into my dress. Hansol turned his head to look at me and I couldn't help but admire the strands of hair that fell perfectly I front of his face from the crazy dancing that he was doing. Swear glistening against his neck making me feel flustered inside, he was still breathing heavily trying to catch his breath.
"We should probably start heading back now" he stood up and stretched, his shirt rising up to let me slightly see his pale stomach. I turned my head and rubbed my arms, the cold just staring to hit me. Standing up myself we headed our way back towards the house.
Scrambling through the hundreds of bodies I made my way to the front door, although Hansol wasn't behind me. Seconds later I saw him emerge from the crowd with a girl attached to him, whispering something in his ear as he desperately tried to pry her off.
"I'm not interested" I heard him murmur back as she pulled down her shirt more, I chocked as Hansol tried to evert his eyes. He looked up at me with pleading eyes and I knew that it was my cue to say something.
"What are you doing with my boyfriend?" I couldn't stop the words from pouring out of my mouth, although Hansol was pleased at my words the skimpy girl was not. She gagged in disgust which did not help my self confidence, before trotting off to the next guy.
"Thanks for that, it had to be done" Hansol sighed, running his hand through his hair. He led the way to his car, opening the door for me as I stepped in and warmed myself up with my arms.
In no time we arrived back at the Park mansion. The short drive was spent in a comfortable silence as I tried to keep my eyes open, battling the tiredness that started to build up.
We walked our way towards the huge tree outside of my bedroom window, the leaves blowing rapidly in the wind. Hansol leant against the trunk as I stood, my heels sinking yet again in to the dirt.
"Thank you for taking me tonight, it was definitely something. I have to admit I don't want it to be over." And it was true, I had never been to a party like this and letting out my rebellious side made me feel good and free of my protective father.
"It doesn't have to be over..." Hansol trailed off quietly deep in thought before regaining himself, "but you should probably get to bed, I saw you dosing off in the car and if you stayed later your father might have found out." I nodded, the risk of my father finding out increased as every hour passed by.
A long shiver ran through me which made me reach my arms up yet again to rub my arms free if the cold, not that it worked very well. Hansol took a step closer to me and grabbed my hands in his, bringing them towards his mouth he blew hot air on them, rubbing them between his like he did in the car only a few hours ago. The darkness hid the appearance of my flushed red cheeks as he slowly dropped my hands from his, my body loosing the warmth that Hansol gave me.
"I'll see you next week Hana" And with a simple nod the brunette shoved his hands in his pockets and made his way back to the main road, staying clear of any windows. I sighed as I looked up at the tall tree wondering how on earth I was meant to get up there.
Rolling into my window after a solid thirty minutes of slipping down a tree, heels in hand I stripped myself of my clothes and makeup, putting on a large sweater I jumped into bed. Feeling content, my mind raced with the memories of tonight.
The way it felt when I climbed out of the window with Hansol was a feeling that I wanted to experience again. It was defiantly as surprise to find him perched on the tree outside with rocks in hand. If it was anyone but Hansol I would've told them to leave and that they were being creepy, but the way Hansol's eyes glinted at the thought of me sneaking out made my heart race that little bit more and my adrenaline pump as we made our way to the party.
I rolled onto my side and closed my eyes, wondering if when I saw him next week things would be different.
