"You have a lot of explaining to do Mr" was the first thing I said as Hansol knocked in the door, After I insisted to Lynn that she didn't have to welcome him in every time he came.
"Hi to you too" Hansol sarcastically says as he pushes past me, making his way to the study, in which Father let us kindly use again. I arrived in the room seconds later as I leaned against the door and just watched him place his backpack down and unpack his books onto the wooden table. From the back his hair was a mess, like he had ran his hands through it multiple times, he wore grey track pants and a white t-shirt, seeming as if he wanted to be comfortable for the session.
"Are we going to start or are you just going to keep staring at me?" He says, back still turned to me as he places down the last text book. Why does he have such an attitude today? He certainly wasn't like this the last two sessions or at the party, and at the cafe he was just in a quiet mood. I sigh, crossing my arms as I take a seat beside him.
"What's got you all worked up today" I question, resting my head on my fist as I watch Hansol fidget in his chair, flicking through pages of the science text book. It was just now I noticed the slight dark bags hanging under his eyes, as if he didn't get much sleep last night. He ignores my question and stops at a page, pointing to a paragraph.
"Today we are going to do some Biology" he suggests, making me sigh again as I take out a pen. We work in silence for what seems like eternity, him just looking over my shoulder at my work as I struggle on each of the questions. His intense gaze over my shoulder makes a shiver run down my spine as I move around in my seat.
"So is it the cornea that-" I start to question but the brunette cuts me off.
"Please don't talk to Jeonghan anymore" he blurts out, covering his mouth with his hand soon after he speaks. I turn around to look at him wide eyed as he refuses to look at me. He brings his fist up to his mouth and lets out a nervous cough before he rubs the back of his neck, sheepishly looking at me at through his eyelashes.
"I mean-"
"Why?" I ask just above a whisper, still wide eyed. Hansol breathes a log sigh before resting his elbows on the oak table, shuffling his hair in his hands. When he looks up at me again I hold back my laughter when I take a glance at his shuffled hair.
"Just don't go there, he will use you and make you miserable." Hansol seemed generally concerned as he lookes at me with opened eyes. I take a long sigh and put down my pen, turning in the chair to face him.
"Don't worry Hansol, I can see right through his sweet talk" he sends me a small smile, looking down at his nikes making me look at his scraggy hair. I find myself reaching up to smooth out the wild strands. At first the Korean tenses under my touch but soon calms down to slowly look up at me.
"Have you gotten much sleep lately?" I ask in a soft voice, continuing to smooth out his hair. I'm not sure why I am acting this away around him, as if I've known him for ages. Although whenever I'm with him it does feel like I've known him for years. Hansol shakes his head under my touch.
"No, I can't stop thinking once I hop into bed." His hazel eyes stare into mine and I feel lost in his sweet gaze. As if on cue he lets out a tired yawn, rubbing one of his eyes.
"What do you think about?" I ask, my hand trails down the side of his face without even thinking and I soon find myself tracing the sharp line of his jaw, Hansol doesn't seem affected by my gesture as he finishes his yawn and places his hands on his lap, looking down, embarrassed as for what he is going to say.
"You" his face goes scarlet as my hand stills at the place where his jaw connects to his neck. I slowly feel the blush creep up my neck at his words. I watch as he looks up and hesitantly locks eyes with me, the world around us silent, only our breathing could be heard. For a split second I felt a new warmth in my chest, but it disappeared as quick as it starts. I didn't say anything, neither did he.
It was not long until my mind came back to reality and I noticed the fact that Hansol started to slowly lean closer and closer until the tips of our noses where centimeters from touching. My breath caught in my throat as the brunettes gaze shifted from my eyes to my lips and back up again. This is the closest I had ever been to him, the closest I had ever been to a boy for that matter.
He leaned in even closer, so the tips of our lips would brush against each other if one of us spoke, neither of us moved, neither of us seeming to mind the sudden closeness.
"Kiss me" he whispered, his words soft, as if he didn't realize he had said it. The tips of our lips brushed against each other with every word, causing a nervous eruption to happen in my stomach. I was reluctant though. My hand still rested on his jaw, his eyes never left my lips as I opened them slightly, about to say something I never thought I'd say.
The rattling of the door handle made Hansol and I rip apart in the speed of light, sitting silently in our seats, avoiding each other's glances as we ignored what just happened in the past minutes.
"Hello Hansol, I was just checking up on you two. How's the studying going, she doing well?" Father asks with a fake smile on his face. Neither of us spoke, our minds too caught up in what was about to happen. I bring my finger up to my lips, touching
the skin, wondering just what it would've been like if his lips were on mine.
Hansol regained himself quickly after father's smile dropped, "Oh yes she's doing great, improving lots" he nods, although his mind seemed to be somewhere else. Father's phone starts to ring, excusing himself from the room he leaves Hansol and I to sit in an awkward silence.
"Hansol, I-"
"I'm sorry" he looks at his feet, rubbing the tips of he's shoes together. "I did that on my own will, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable"
"No Hansol you-"
"Let's just forget that ever happened" he turns his head to me as a small smile spreads across his face, not reaching his eyes. I see through him though, the smile was full of sadness.

I didn't want to forget what happened between Hansol and I, I liked his closeness. The unfamiliar feeling that he caused in my stomach was a feeling that I wanted to feel again, and now I find myself thinking. What would've happened if I closed that small gap between our lips?
I stare up at the ceiling, I'm thinking too much about this and I need to get my mind off of it. Getting up from the crisp white sheets I make my way to my wardrobe. Grabbing out a small white sleeveless crop top and a black bandage skirt, I lay the clothes on my bed as I pad my way to the bathroom. If there was one thing Hansol taught me, it was that I actually am starting to enjoy parties, and Joshua throwing another party close by, now was my perfect chance to let loose again and forget about everything. Forget about my Father, his determination to make me receive an award from the council, for me to beat Soonyoung. Forget about Hansol and what he was doing to me.
After straightening my hair and applying a small amount of makeup, I make my way down the tree slowly and quietly, just like I did this time last week. Making sure to be quiet I make my way to the garage, heels in hand so I don't make much noise. I hop into the first car I see, which happens to be a pitch black Porsche. I start to feel a pang of nerves as I strap on my white heels.
There was one bonus of Joshua having parties every damn week I thought to myself as I pulled up out the front of his mansion. The party was already in full swing, this time seeming even wilder than the last one. I sighed, hoping out of the car and putting the keys into my bra as I walked up the long path. I didn't feel nervous about going to this party as I did the last, I felt more confident.
When I first stepped into the house, the smell of alcohol and something else that I couldn't put my finger on instantly hit me. The scene before my eyes was crazy compared to last week. I decided on going to the kitchen to get myself a drink, may as well be having some fun while I am here.
The kitchen was the only place in the house that wasn't as crowded, except for the couple practically eating each other's faces off in the corner. I open the fridge and scan the various options of beer before I picked up a random can. Tonight I wanted to drink, I wanted to let loose and not have to worry about anything. I was about to take a sip when a certain pink haired boy walked into the kitchen and interrupted me.
"I wouldn't drink that if I where you," he said "it's already been opened." I pulled the can down from my mouth and noticed that it in fact was already opened, good thing Woozi stopped me or who knows what would've been in this drink. Woozi makes his way to the fridge, taking out two glass beer bottles and handing one to me.
"These should be better" he smiles before walking back into the living room where he came from. I just stood in the kitchen, taking small sips from the alcohol as I ponder on what to do, although not even seconds later Woozi's head pokes in again, "are you coming?". I smile at him and follow his lead as we walk to a couch in the living room. A few of the boys from the cafe where seated as I took a seat beside Woozi and a boy who I recognized to be Mingyu, although he didn't notice my presence, seeming too caught up in a conversation with another boy who I remembered as WonWoo.
"So what brings you here" Woozi asks, taking a swing from his beer. I follow his actions and take a large gulp of mine.
"I needed to get my mind off things" I reply, finishing my first bottle.
"By things do you mean, a certain someone?" I stay quiet at his words, pursing my lips not knowing what to say. Is it that obvious that I was thinking about someone? Woozi excuses himself as he goes to get more alcohol, leaving me to ponder in my thoughts.
Five beers and lots of drunk dancing later, Woozi and I sat on the couch laughing at random things we found amusing. There was not one soul at the party who was sober, including myself who seemed to have grown a liking towards alcohol in the moment.
"I accidentally flushed my gold fish down the toilet when I was 9" I admit, erupting in a pile of giggles, taking a swing from my sixth beer.
"When Hansol was a kid he made this video and he was all like 'kidney function is not a right it's a privilege.'" Woozi and I burst out laughing, snorts piling out of Woozi like it was natural to him.
"That reminds me, I have to text Hansol!" I suddenly decide in my drunken state, as if it was the best idea in the world. I pull out my phone and continue to giggle as I type him a message.
Hana:
I WEnT oN AnoTheR AdVenTurE!!!¡¡¡
23:15 • R
I press send and he almost instantly replies, which makes my heart flutter even in my drunk condition.
Hansol:
Are you drunk?
23:15 • R
Hana:
NoO0o
23:16 • R
As soon as I sent it my phone lit up with a call from Hansol, I look over at Woozi to see him wiggle his eyebrows, reaching his hand over he presses accept for me.
"Hana where the hell are you?" Hansol sounded so concerned it almost made me sober up, almost.
"I'm at Joshua's!" I giggle, letting out a hiccup mid sentence. Woozi lets out a whoop, which makes Hansol groan in annoyance. I'm surprised he could even hear me through the pounding of the music.
"Why did you drink Hana, just why" I opened my mouth to reply when he cut me off, "I'm coming to get you" was the last thing I heard before the line went dead.
