Riley's POV:

I stand shocked. I can't believe what I just heard. I slowly look Alex up and down and I realize, he's extremely skinny.
"Can... can you take off your shirt?" I ask. He nods and slowly takes off his shirt, exposing his body. His ribs and hips are visible and his stomach looks like it's touching his spine. I wanna cry. His body is covered in scars and bruises.
"I know. I'm disgusting. I'm such a pig. I'm so fat..." He goes to put his shirt back on but I stop him.
"Alex... I can feel your ribs... You're too skinny. You need to eat. Please..." I feel tears well up in my eyes.
"What? You actually think I'm skinny? How?"
"Because you are, Alex." He pulls me into a hug.
"Do you want me start eating again or something?"
"Yes. Please, please. I need you to."
"I can't, Rylie. I can't..."
"Why? Why, Alex? Why?" I'm sobbing. I can't stand to see him like this. It hurts.
"Rylie... I don't want to..." He puts his shirt on without me stopping him this time, and looks me straight in the eyes. "Please don't cry. Please." He pulls me into a hug and squeezes me. It's completely quiet until he finally speaks up. "If I start eating again, will you stop crying?" I pull away from him and nod my head. "Then I need you to do me a favor... you need to help me... I'm gonna need help..."
"Of course I'll help. I'll do anything for you."
"Ok..." I smile and kiss him. "Let's get us something to eat now. We both need it."
"Ok..." He looks hesitant, but still follows me to the door and outside. I need him to eat... I can't lose him too...
