Riley's POV:

What??? Alex is kissing me. I did not expect that. I like it, but I can't let him know that, so I push him off. "Why did you do that?" I ask wiping my lips. Regret shows in his eyes.
   "I'm sorry, I just, I... I'm sorry. I'll just go now." He says, hurt on his face, as he turns to walk away.
   "Alex, wait." I start. He turns to face me again.
   "No, I'm sorry. You've told me repeatedly that you're straight, and I just made things really awkward. I'm sorry Riley. I have to go, mom's gonna kill me if I'm not home soon." He puts his head down and hands in his pockets and slowly turns around and starts to walk away. It takes everything in me to finally say it.
   "But I lie when I say it. I'm scared to tell people. I really liked that. Please don't go. I've already had too many people leave me. Please don't leave me." I start to cry. I don't want him to leave. Suddenly I feel Alex's warm embrace.
   "I'm not gonna leave. I'll stay right beside you. Don't worry, I'll be right here when you decide to come out. I know how scary it can be, after all, I've already done it." He puts his chin on the top of my head and pulls me into his lap rubbing circles into my back. He smells like strawberries and his voice is like hot tea and honey. I wanna kiss him again. His lips were so soft.
"Alex?" I ask. He just hums in response. "Can I... Can I kiss you again?" He stops everything he was doing and pulls his head away to look at me.
"Do you want to?" He looks hopeful. I nod my head. "Then of course." He brings his lips to mine again. This time I don't pull back. I relax and start to kiss back. His lips seem to fit with mine perfectly. Like two pieces of a puzzle, and it was at this moment that I realized. I'm falling for Alex Burwell.
