Has-Been

A has-been of the world

discarded in the milieu of life

is found and redeemed

by laying down all that he had

(such as it was)

To be picked up and held

by the giver of Life

who infused love and peace

in ample abundant measure

Such is the work of Christ

in a poor pitiful life
