I gasp, my mind suddenly filled with memories. I look up, try to stand, before I realize I can't stand. I'm kind of just... floating. I hover in sulking silence for a moment. I replay the day in my mind.

Sans, Gaster and I were testing a machine. The machine that was supposed to fix everything. A machine that would make it possible for monsters to Reset and live. It was going perfectly, we were on the verge of a breakthrough, and then...

I don't remember.

It was all so fast. Gaster said something about the Core exploding, Sans was teleporting everywhere at once, and the world seemed to move so fast around me, everything a blur. I couldn't quite grasp what was happening.

That is, until a piece of burning metal hit me in the face.

I screamed, loud, but almost no one noticed me. They were all to busy trying to keep the entire Underground from blowing up. Except Sans. He teleported over to me as soon as heard me scream, putting his hands onto my face as a cried. A blue glow told me that he was trying his best to heal me. I knew as well as he did that he wasn't half as good as his brother.

"shhh, it's okay, calm down, it's okay, you'll be fine."

He held his hands away from my face now, holding mine. Then a piercing scream came from behind me.

"SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNSSSSSSSS!!!!"

I turned around and Gaster was there, so close that I could touch him, about to fall into the machine.

The untested, highly experimental machine.

Sans, in a crazed panic, teleported directly to him. Of course, his calculations for the landing were wrong and he landed kind of half on top of me, half next to him. He reached down, not paying attention to me at all. Of course, he didn't see what happened next.

The moment he pulled Gaster up was the moment I fell in. Sans had accidentally pushed me in. I screamed in the moment before the fall, and Sans turned around, eyes wide with fear....
