Help: I've really been trying to portray Mara as the tough bruiser girl who's sarcastic and all, but have her tough past have all the emotional repercussions it should have on her to make it believable. Mara's past is hinted on and finally revealed several chapters into the book, but I don't know if it seems real enough and adds to her development as a whole
