FUN FACTS WHILE WRITING CHASING GHOSTS

• Nadine and Steve are actually very similar. They're the same in a lot of aspects, just that their experiences molded them differently, so the decisions they make aren't the same.

  - both are willing to risk their lives for the people they care about
  - both can make impulsive decisions (Steve jumping out of a plane without a parachute, Nadine placing bombs all over the place)
  - both want to do the right thing and save everyone
  - both like a challenge (Steve at the beginning of Winter Soldier when he fought the french guy, Nadine facing down the barrel of a gun EVERY time)
  - neither Steve nor Nadine could hurt their best friends when they fought
-And so on
-Basically two different sides of the same coin.
-Is this my way of staying that if one half of Stucky had been a woman they'd be love interests? Yes LMAO anyway

• Dante and Bucky are also, in some way, similar.
- both carry a very heavy guilt from their actions
- they don't believe they deserve happy endings because of it
- they worry about their best friends too much
- both tend to be there to sort of back their friends up and "clean up their mess"
- and of course, both had to fight their best friends whilst brainwashed

• Originally someone was supposed to die.
-Not ruling that out yet ;)

• Nadine and Bucky were actually not supposed to kiss until the very end.
- I got tired of waiting though, lmaooo
- They also originally didn't get intimate. But keep in mind that I created this idea when I was 17-18. No serious relationship at the time yet. Now that I'm older I think it fits because sex and intimacy depends on the couple. Nadine is deffo very casual and open about sex and while Bucky is very much understandably hesitant, I think the level of trust between them was enough for that step.

• I thought about killing Kristina off.
- She just doesn't die easily, I guess lol

• Nadine wasn't supposed to have powers at all.
- I didn't want to risk having her become a Mary Sue type of character or have her too OP, but I also had a big plot hole because my original idea was for the sphere and the soul stone inside it to disappear without a trace and never mention it again. Because again, this story was started before Infinity War. But then I didn't have a motive to stop the villain/a threat, so I decided to keep it.

• Nadine originally would have had colored hair, like a pinkish blonde.
- No offense to blondes, but I'm kinda tired of seeing them in fics lmao.

• Kaia and Dante weren't supposed to happen at all. In my head it was supposed to be casual flirting/one sided crush on Dante's part. It was only ororotchalla pointed out their chemistry that I decided to embrace it.

• Originally, Chasing Ghosts would have been one book.
- But I really love these characters, so I hope to explore them in a sequel.
