Class trip
I was locked up in my room. Not as a punishment, more like a precaution, a desperate need to survive and hide from the curse we were thrown at, me, and my class. Just the fact that we were exposed to an incredible danger made me shiver and bite my pale small hand. It was hopeless helpless. Never could I graduate after what I just saw. That messed up nightmare was consuming all my chances to continue believing I would actually survive this planned up game. I didn't really understand how, but all I knew for sure was that, we were all gonna die.
I begged the teachers not to make me enter that house. I wanted to go home, they knew it. It was easy to tell judged by their looks. The male teacher was having a look of pure despair as the female one shaved her hands over face, not wanting her students to see her tears. She was making weird noises and to make matters worse, her hair was a mess. She was about to lose her sanity.
The students weren't aware of what was going to happen of course. The teachers didn't believe me, but the details I gave them were extremely precise.
"Please believe me!" I used to say, desperately trying to forget the fact that my words were meaningless towards them. "I saw it in my dream...!"
- "Fine." Said the female teacher in a cracked voice. "You can go back home. You will be excused."
I was relived for just a short time, what if the assassin found out I was at home, escaping his game. The school trip was just an excuse to lure us in this never ending torture. He would go to my place and kill me there! "No, I'm staying."
I could see it the death wish she finally wanted. She was as white as a ghost, if I didn't know her I would have run away in fear.
I turned my head to see my surroundings. I was on a big savaged ground. There was nothing else then dust and sand. My comrades were sitting at the front door of the mansion. It was a big wooden house which looked like it was about to collapse by its surprisingly old age. I could smell the scent of decomposing wood. It made my stomach not as I felt even more insecure thanks to the huge metallic barrier who was encircling the area. I couldn't see anything else besides the expend dark aura which was dancing out of this prison. In front of the entrance door of the mansion was a camera. No one touched it, yet an image was displayed as I looked at it in fear. It was the same as the one I saw in my dream. The whole class was sitting in front of the house, dead. Blood was scattered everywhere as I could see the 'details' I never would have want to see.
The teachers took a deep breath as they brought us inside the beginning of a huge massacre. They said they would stay outside to wait for the house's owner, but I knew they were just too scared to protect us.
My eyes suddenly dropped into the room which was weirder then what I expected. Tall statues were standing at each corner of the room. the students were excited about the place as I was hoping to believe the fact that paintings didn't move. The drawing was representing a doll, sitting on a moving chair, looking at the void. She had long black hair and red eyes which were a match with her black and red dress. Her pure white skin made her look like a fallen angle. But the most bizarre thing here was the pipes. Large metallic piped were replacing each door. No, actually, I think there is no doors here. When I looked at them closer, they looked more like slides we could find in amusement parks, but dark and impulsive.
I looked away as a shooting pain came across my head living me weak and on the floor. Judging by the noises my comrades were doing, them too, were having the same problem I had. There was a sudden high-pitched voice echoing inside of my mind. It was a metallic as well. It hurt my ears so much I thought they would explode, which actually already happened to a girl who dropped unconscious. People were too busy to deal with their own minds rather than finding out their old friend having blood going out of her ears.
The sequence of noise slowly became clearer as it became a continues enchainment of words. "I'm right behind you. Go hide as much as you want, but if I see you... I'll kill you."
After a few seconds of silence, the class started screaming like their lives were on the line, but in some point, they were...
I stood up as fast as I could and went towards three of my friends. They looked scared, of course, but they were surprisingly calm. I helped them stand up as we went at one of the pipes. Two of my friends went in, I couldn't see or hear them anymore since then. I took a deep breath and sat inside it. The tube was too small to stay in that position, so, I lay down against my will. As soon as I did I fell down at lightning speed. The surprise actually restrained me from screaming as my eyes were wide open hoping to find something that may relax my brain. For some reasons, I felt as if I was falling, yet, going up. When I think about it, the idea of falling up was pretty amazing, it made me wonder if physics law was really true.
I blinked as I no longer felt like falling. I slowly got back into a sitting position hands up to make sure I didn't bump my head on the process. Once I was certain I could stand up, something grabbed my arm and broth me into a clearer place. Thanks to the candle's light I could see that my kidnaper was none other than Michael, one of my friends. The other person was a girl named Jane.
" Where are we?" I asked in awe.
- "In a room, dummy."
I rolled my eyes at his obvious statement, as I did, a big noise emerged at the end of the room. The fourth person; Levi. He was running towards us like he saw a ghost. he had a face which showed fear and tiredness. His breath was fast and he was all sweaty.
"What happened?" asked Michael concerned.
- "I wasn't able to come here right away. those tunnels are mazes. They will bring you at random within the places marked on it. And, I saw...the assassin."
-"W-what? How come?! We all arrived here in one stop! Why not you?!" explained Jane in a frustrated voice.
- "Stop that!" insisted Michael. "Let him breath!"
As they were talking I went towards the tube and looked. They were there. The rooms he talked about.
"It's true."
They looked at me then the ground. When I think about it, it was an old and empty room. there was just a candle and bench. The bench was already occupied by Levi so I just sat on the floor besides the rest of the group. We talked for quite a long time as we played with our cell phones.
It was too easy, what were doing the assassin and the other students? Jane actually understood how I felt so she said:
"You know what? I'm gonna look how their doing out there, okay? Don't worry, I'll come back soon." As she said that, she went away and never came back. The atmosphere was cold, yet, everyone was sweating like crazy. Worried, I decided to go look for her. As soon as I lay down, I was transported into another place, this time falling down.
I thought I would find out a new secret place but I arrived into the first room we entered. I went out of the pipe head first. I walked towards the entrance door, wanting to talk to the teachers. I was surprised at first then became curious. The wooden walls were well hiding that secret door, a small little trap camouflaged by the wood. I slowly opened the door and stepped in. it was quite pretty for a hidden place. It was just like a bedroom, but without a bed and light. The closed window did the job perfectly as it shined the room with glory. The cabinets were closed and possibly locked. I was curious about what was hidden inside them, but also scared about the result. My feet drove me towards the source of the light as I looked over the window. The female teacher was half asleep besides one of the walls of the house. The male teacher was looking at the camera trying to find when the picture was token.
Suddenly, a multi-colour figure appeared right behind him and killing him without any blood swirling out. I was scared as I understood what was happening. I swear I could see the weird creature looking at me for a second. It then went inside the mansion and went towards my place. In fear, I closed the door and tried to lock it, but it was too late, a hand slipped through the small passage leading to the door to open. I decided to give up as I hide in one of the drawers which was actually open. I closed the door as fast as I could as I saw the blurry thing pass across me. it looked around and then went out locking the trap behind.
I didn't care about the fact I was locked. I was more scared of dying asphyxiated. I restrained myself from breathing for so long my skin was paler.
I went out of the closet and after making sure the assassin was gone, I opened the window and went out. I stopped in front of the last teacher who was crying, I think she was faking the sleeping thing. I taped her shoulder and she relaxed as she saw me. her red puffy eyes closed as she showed ma a smile.
"You mustn't stay here, not yet. You can come back later, but not now. And once you do, come alone."
I stayed silent for a moment then nodded in agreement.
I stepped forward towards the entrance door, until,
I woke up...
