「 Yaoyorozu's POV 」

I woke up from my sleep once I heard the loud ping from the loudspeaker on the train, I perked up and blinked, seeing a few other people around me glance my direction. I let out a sigh and looked at the screen which showed the next stop. It took me a while to realize that I had missed mine. I tried to keep a straight face as I got up and waited for the train to come to a stop. When it finally did, I got off and started to walk down the platform, rustling around in my bag and got my phone out.

I unlocked it and opened my texts, texting Kei that I needed him to come pick me up, since I had missed my stop. Of course, he didn't reply. I gritted my teeth, feeling the tears burn behind my eyes. I just wanted to go home and go to bed, but no, of course not. I had to walk for at least a solid hour to get back home. I rubbed my eyes and tried calling him, no response.

I gritted my teeth and started to walk out from the train station and through the cold, mostly empty streets. If I hadn't been through years of training and working experience as a Professional Hero, I would have been terrified to walk through these streets when nightfall came. We didn't live too far off from an area where a lot of crime was taking place, and that was where I was walking, alone. 

I shrugged off the feeling of someone watching me and picked up the pace in my step, taking a few deep breaths as I speed-walked through the streets. I stopped dead in my tracks when I heard a child crying. I spun around and looked out across the empty streets, I started to walk towards where I had heard the crying, I took a turn into an alleyway and saw a small girl sit in a cardboard-box and was sobbing loudly.

"Oh no- no no-" I quickly rushed up to the little girl and kneeled down, "are you alright sweetie?" I asked, looking at the little girl sitting in the box and weeping. She had a little necklace around her neck with a note that said "Whoever wants her, Take her. I don't need her." written in a fancy writing, the little girl reeked of cannabis and alcohol.

The little girl looked up at me, her tear-filled piercing red eyes meeting mine, "it hurts-" she sobbed, "mama hurt me!" she cried, it was only then when I noticed the endless circle-shaped marks she had lining her arms. My eyes widened and I quickly created two ice packs and lifted the little girl out of the box, sitting down on the ground and setting the girl down on my lap as I gently put the ice packs on her arms.

"Shh.. it's okay.. Do you know why your mother wanted to hurt you?" I asked calmly as the girl sobbed.

The little girl shook her head, "no- mama hates me..!" her sobs becoming increasingly louder. I took off one of the ice packs on the arm where the burn marks weren't that severe and started to stroke her hair, calmly.

"Don't worry sweetie, can you tell me your name?" I asked, looking at her with a gentle smile painting my lips.

She looked up at me, "H-Himari-" she sniffled.

"Alright Himari, my name is Yaoyorozu, I'm a Pro Hero, and I want to help you, do you want me to help you?" I asked, continuing to stroke her hair, my smile grew a bit wider as the girl nodded, her tears almost gone. I could see the sparkle in her eyes when she heard that I was a Pro Hero.

"M-mhm! I've always wanted to get saved by a Pro Hero..! I want to become one when I grow up..!" she bounced a bit on my lap and I couldn't help but let out a gentle laugh, I took off the other ice pack and watched the little girl start to talk about how she had seen so many different Pro Heroes on TV, how much she admired Midoriya, Todoroki, Bakugou, me, and a bunch of other people who had went to U.A.

"Hey, Y-Yaoyowozu?" she asked, not being able to properly pronounce my name. I looked at her, noticing that she wanted something, "I'm hungry.." Himari mumbled, "can you get me food..?"

I nodded and stood up, holding her in my arms, "yes, of course! Are you tired as well?" I asked Himari who nodded, her long, snow white hair falling over her eyes as she leaned against me.

I felt how my heart squeezed a bit, this was what I had wanted all along. A child to care for. Now that I was an adult, I could get my own child without anyone telling me no. Except for Kei of course.. but he doesn't have to know about Himari.. Yeah, I'll hide her from him, or make up an excuse and say that she's Hagakure's, Tsuyu's, Mina's, Jirou's or Uraraka's child and that they wanted me to care for her for a while when they figured things out at home.

I continued to think about it as I walked towards mine and Kei's house, feeling how heavy Himari had gotten all of a sudden, I glanced down at the girl in my arms and noticed that she was asleep. I stroked her hair a bit and continued to walk down the pavement.

After a while of walking, I finally arrived. I went in through the front gates and walked through the front garden and up the stairs before walking into the house, closing the door after me and gently waking Himari up, telling her that I'd be getting her food as soon as possible, but that she had to be quiet, becuase I had assumed that Kei was asleep.

Himari nodded and kept quiet, she hugged me as I walked into the kitchen and put her down on a counter, starting to make some food for the hungry little girl. I had to bandage up her arms as well and take her to a hospital once she had gotten food, gotten a bath and gotten some rest. I couldn't just leave her like this, no, I was committed to caring for her until she was capable to care for herself. Nobody could tell me otherwise. If her mother wanted her back, I would fight to keep her safe, in court or on the field. That woman did not seem sane if she did something as terrible as this to her own child.

Once I had finished a few sandwiches, I picked Himari up, along with the plate and walked to the dining room, putting her down on a chair and putting the plate in front of her and watching her start to eat, quickly as well. I walked back to the kitchen and got her a glass of juice and a glass of water, putting them down in front of her as well before sitting down next to her and starting to create a few bandages, as I did not want Kei to see that anything was gone from the medical locker that he had.

Once Himari had finished eating, I took her to the bathroom and gave her a bath, re-creating the little dress she had on just so it would be clean. Once she was out of the bath, I got her dressed and started to wrap her arms in the bandages I had created for her. Once all that was done, I picked her up and speed-walked out to a guest room not far from mine and Kei's room, putting her down on the bed and tucking her in, Himari had brought her own stuffed animal, she told me that she needed nothing else but her teddy. I nodded and stroked her hair, said goodnight and told her that if she woke up, she would have to be really quiet not to wake Kei up, which she agreed to.

When I closed the door behind me, I let out a breath and walked to our bedroom, walking in and seeing Kei asleep in the bed. As I had guessed. I got undressed and slipped underneath the covers next to him, feeling his arms wrap around me and pull me up against him. I felt pretty uncomfortable as he did it, but I forced myself to fall asleep through it.
