he left me
all
alone

one morning,
he gave me the dreadful
"we need to talk"

i forever will hate
that one stairwell
where my life felt like a wave crashing down

"I think we need to break up," he insisted
the waterfall of tears came as i asked
"why?"

he stayed silent as he lead me
to the counselor's office,
the last place i wanted to be

as as i sat with him
in that off-white barren office,
everything came spilling out
