Hector fought with all his might, slashing at his father, claws extended. 'He has been taken!' the thought flashed into his mind that moment. "Father stop!" he screeched. Hector's leg wound had opened up again and was oozing blood. He was quickly growing frailer by the second. His father lashed with the ferocity of ten dogs. Another thought flashed I to his mind 'Regina' a wicked dog who Stormy had said was the dog who took his shadow. He screeched as his fathers claws raked across his face opening up a gigantic wound and he couldn't see out of his left eye anymore.

Hector writhed in pain, his father standing above him ready to make the final death blow, but his eyes cleared and returned to their dull gold color. "HECTOR!! No how could I do this!" he screamed "Hector are you okay?" Hector looked up horror in his eyes but soon to see his father back to normal he still scooted away from him, a low crooning sound coming from him. "Hector I'm so sorry.." Stormy said.

All the sudden a flash if black fur came into their den. Midnight. "What did you do!?" she growled.
Hector had fainted from the blood loss in his face."I-I swear I didn't mean to!"
"Yeah right" she snarled.
A weak cry sounded from below
"Midnight... help..please."
Hector faded back into helplessness.
"Please take care of him!" Stormy begged.
Midnight hoisted Hector onto her back "Don't worry I will." she growled. And with that she was off.
