1- Nothing
Feeling the warmth of the sunlight felt odd with no emotions bubbling up inside you.
But it was the price to pay.
He felt nothing at the sight of his bloody floor.
He felt nothing still with the sanguine stain of his shirt.
Nothing at all.
Nothing.
A blank look with the oddly cold stare of crimson eyes.
No horror.
No fear.
Once again, nothing.
Was emptiness wrong? was it right?
Kris did not care for either of the two.
But even in his emotionless state, he moved. Strangely concerned of how his mother would react to this bloody sight.
There was still a dampened mark that his soul left, or at least that was what it was shown because somehow, deep inside, he was still Kris.
Kris just threw himself out of bed, taking off his sweater and using it to wipe the floor, unsanitary but effective.
Eyes dull and lifeless, hidden by his brunet locks. Undeniably pale than his tanned skin, lips pursed to a thin line.
Wiping the pavement clean was no easy task without water, and his chest still had that fresh wound, but was slightly covered by dried blood.
Still, the smears were mearly faded paint now. Just another stain that was left in this floor.
Contented (strangely), Kris left his room and slipped to the bathroom.
The water against his wound felt like nothing once again. He felt numb, this was all too new, but that still didn't faze his lifeless gaze.
Just another day.
Nothing new.
But why did he feel slightly ecstatic to go to school?
There was the remnant of his soul once more, making him feel something that was not suppose to be felt.
Still, he was as lifeless as you could see. Like a puppet dangling, awaiting for its use.
But that thought was revolting to hear, wasn't it? It was a sickening thing to say.
Kris just sighed, but it was so blunt, no sadness, no worry, just nothing.
All that was heard after was the last pitter patter of dripping water and the squeak of the faucet being shut.
~~~~~~~
A scowl and a great stature.
Skin a dull shade of purple and hair the color of wine.
Shoulders relaxed underneath her indigo coat.
No one dared mess with this particular female. She'd have your head adorned in her bedroom with even so much as a witty comeback.
Susie had no worry in the world at this moment. Being late was not one to be worried about as most, if not all, are scared of her. Even teachers are terrified of her, as many presume.
Susie walked into the hall with no fear nor care, just that scowl that made most freeze at the sight.
The halls echoed because of her heavy steps. The only other sound that was heard was the distant chatter of unruly students.
Susie still continued moving, but with a steady pace, as she did not give so much as a speck of care for punctuality.
But even in that case, she was still happy to see her new friend.
Her scowl briefly twitched to a smile as she reminded herself of Kris. She made a new friend, shoudn't she be happy?
Of course she was, but it was still odd, new, and very unfamiliar to digest.
She stood at the in front of that wretched door she had grown to hate, because inside is where lies those snobby brats she calls "classmates".
Just a sigh and a push of the door, she entered.
Brief glances and slight glares were thrown at Susie, but it was not affecting her whatsoever as the students resumed to their activities.
Ms. Alphys is far too shy and incapable of scolding this ferocious female but, then again, it was her job wasn't it? It was her duty to care for the students she held.
With a jot of courage she spoke, "S-susie, you're l-late," bravery was not any part of who she was, but seeing her speaking up was the bravest thing she could do.
Susie just ignored her teacher's attempt of bravery and went to her seat.
A familiar brunet had already sat in his chair, eyes focused on his book, not paying any mind to the noises that were bouncing off the classrooms walls.
Susie's lips threatened to smile, but she removed the urge quickly. Still, she chose to grin, a friendly one, to her eyes at least.
"Heya, squirt," Susie whispered as she sat, that grin resting on her lilac face.
The brunet did not seemed fazed, to say the least, he only gave Susie a blank stare and returned to read his tome.
Susie looked at him with slight disbelief, weren't they friends? Was the adventure they experienced held some significant place in his mind?
They were back to square one, Susie thought. This saddened this monster to a point, the point in which she would lock herself in her room.
But why did she feel this way? They weren't friends, so what? Wasn't it just as before?
With the denying thoughts, they never aided the burning ache. Why did she feel so betrayed?
Maybe because she made her first friend?
No, it's nothing.
Nothing.
Susie just turned to the board, not giving attention to her teacher's rant about complicated equations, she just wanted to drift away from her thoughts because of the ache that bled betrayal.
~~~~~~~
The whole lesson was a drag.
Susie was half-asleep, dazing in her thoughts, while the Ms. Alphys continued to teach the class, well, most of the class.
But as the school bell rung, she jolted awake, rubbing her eyes and yawning.
From behind Kris stood up, still as blank as before.
A cold stare that Susie caught, she scowled once more. But, Why had it felt like that coldness what not for her? Was it for? Was is not?
It was all still confusing for her, friendship was foreign, and she needed help, as she hates to admit.
Susie prepared a complaint gor his behavior, only to find out he had left.
She bolted out the door, startling poor Alphys, Susie did not care nor was she afraid.
Fear was unfamiliar because of her headstrong nature. She was untamed, like a beast most likely, not listening to the affronts that were sent to her.
She ran in full sprint, startling most students that roamed the halls, hair like wine flowing with the wind she caught.
She scanned hall after hall.
Nothing.
Nothing.
Nothing.
Till she found the Kris, in a lone hall, staring into absolute nothing.
"Hey, punk," Susie growled, lacing her words with menace to scare this human.
Kris turned, eyes that were hidden through his brunet fringe, giving off emptiness with the same cold glint.
"I want to talk to you," Her words were tainted with kindness, to her dismay, and it was absolutely sickening to hear it echoing in this desolate hall.
Kris merely nodded and this made her irritation burn bright.
She walked up to Kris, towering him with her height, grabbing him by his collar and pinning his back on the wall.
Susie stared at him, this seen has been played before, he should what to expect.
Kris' gaze met Susie's, and by some odd way, it scared Susie, she was scared to find nothing.
Nothing.
Susie just murmured, "Why won't you talk to me..."
Even with the silence, Kris did not comprehend her words, as he only heard whispered noises that were meant to be understood.
With a blank face he asked, "What?"
Susie's anger boiled at his ignorance to her words.
She slammed him hard to the wall, and this time he seemed to react.
"What did you say?!" Susie shouted.
But what happened next caught her attention.
With unbelievable strength, Kris switched their position. Susie was now pinned to the wall by a human that was shorter than her size.
"What?" Kris repeated whispering to her ear.
Her right arm was pinned and the other was trying to push him back, strangely, no avail.
A blush found a way to Susie's cheeks as she noticed their position, Kris seemed unaware.
All that was there is that empty gaze that portayed nothing.
A few seconds flew by, and Kris found his soul pump.
Wait, soul?
It was back, and it was his.
No player.
Nothing.
Nothing seemed good this time.
But as he felt the emotions crashing down on him, Kris saw the blushing monster right above him, pinned.
Kris burned bright red, and he lost his strength. Susie landed on her feet because of her proximity to the ground.
Still blushing, the brunet ran away from her.
Susie stood there, only a faint red tinting her cheeks.
