Chapter 14 [not edited]
Chapter 14; blush all day err day
I nodded my head.
"really?" he asked, face lighting up like a kid on Christmas Day.
"yes," I smiled.
"Summer Grace is my girlfriend! Holy shit! oh dear gosh!" he shouted into the rain, hold me by my waist and carrying me up.
I giggled, blushing as I put my hands onto his shoulder. I never knew he'd be this happy! Then, I shivered, not because of his touch, but because it was getting really, really cold.
"you cold?" he asked.
"mmhmm"
"c'mon, let's get you inside." he said , putting me down and putting his hand over my shoulder, guiding me back to his house.
My initial plan was to grab my flannel, then run home, but of course, Taylor wouldn't have allowed that as he said, "I'll get you a hoodie, you'll freeze in that flannel! it's so thin!"
"uh actually it's okay-"
"no no, you're taking a hoodie" he stated.
"okay, thanks" I said shyly.
"anything for you" he grinned, making me blush deeply.
This boy is going to be the death of me. He can make me blush with just three words. No, he can make me blush by just holding my hands and-
My thoughts were cut off as I heard the front door opened revealing a middle aged woman.
"boy is it pouring out there! Tay-" she stopped once she saw me, "oh! we have a guest! you must be Summer, Taylor told me a lot about you" she smiled.
Really? I never knew 'bad' boys still talked to their parents about girls and relationships. In fact, I didn't even know guys in general told told their parents.
"mom!" Taylor hissed as his cheeks turned a bright shade of pink.
"hi, it's nice to meet you" I smiled, reaching my hand out.
She slapped it away, ready to embrace me in a hug, in which I said no to.
"I'm drenched from head to toe by the rain" I said.
"oh okay, but I'll remember, young lady. you owe me a hug," she grinned.
She released the hug and let Taylor guide me up the stairs.
"don't do anything dirty!", his mom teased.
That made my cheeks go pink, and warm.
"Mrs Channing, I can ensure you nothing will happen," I nodded.
"I trust you honey, it's him" she laughed as he glared at her.
We entered his room and I was taken aback by his neatness for a 'bad' boy. Well, he had posters up on the wall, band posters of course. His walls were white, which blended in well with the black study table, chair, and bed. There was one wall, however, which wasn't white, it was black, and had some writing on it. I walked towards it as he took a hoodie from his closet.
I ran my hands along the wall, accidentally rubbing off a letter.
"sorry..." I told him, pointing towards the board.
"it's fine, it's just chalk," he said, kissing my cheeks.
"it's a chalkboard wall?" I asked, amused.
"yeah," he smiled.
"that's. so. cool!" I squealed.
"what can I say? bad boys are cool, well if they're like me of course," he laughed.
Scrunching up my nose, faking disgust, I said, "you're not"
"please, you love me," he said, putting his hand over his heart.
"nah-uh"
"yeah-uh"
"nah-uh. end of argument," I laughed.
He tossed me a hoodie, in which was from Billabong. I walked towards the toilet, that was right outside his room and changed. The hoodie was big, making myself feel warmer. And it smelled like Taylor.
"you look cute" he said, scanning his eyes on me.
That made me blush so much. I gave him a smile. Is it possible for someone to blush this much in a day? well, obviously, cause I did. But really, he's making me blush all day err day.
"anyways, the rain is getting really heavy, do you want to stay for dinner?" Taylor asked.
"umm sure if it's okay with your mom," I smiled.
"of course she is! she already loves you," he rolled his eyes.
"everybody loves me," I said, failing to flip my wet hair over my shoulder.
"come on" he said, rolling his eyes once again.
"mom, can Summer stay for dinner?"
"of course!" she smiled, walking over to me, "since you're dry, I think you should give me the hug you owe me"
Chuckling, we hugged and I could feel tears brimming my eyes. It's been forever since a motherly figure hugged me, other than Aunt Meg. But aunties and moms have different hugs, I don't know why, they just do. She pulled apart and I made sure that the years did not roll down my cheeks but she asked,
"Summer, are you okay? why are you tearing?" she asked, concerned as Taylor's head turned swiftly once he heard what his mom said.
"Summer what's wrong?" Taylor asked, walking over and hugging me from the side.
"it's a stupid reason," I laughed lightly.
"I'm sure it's not" Mrs Channing said.
"it's just... um how do I put it... I haven't had a.. mother.. hug me in a very long time"
Taylor's grip around me got tighter, telling me that he knew what I was talking about and that it's okay.
"I hope you don't mind me asking, but why?"
I knew the question was going to come up anyways. If it didn't, she could have asked me what my parents' jobs were and stuff like that.
"uhhh, my parents are dead," I said quietly.
"oh honey, Im so sorry, I didn't know," she said, saying almost the exact same thing as when I first told Taylor.
"of course you didn't, I never told you," I smiled.
Taylor looked at me, smiling. He must have also remembered my answer to his question last time. It was the same.
When Mr Channing came back home after work , and we were introduced, we proceeded to having dinner. Mrs Channing's cooking was amazing! In fact, that'd be an understatement. But then I found out why, she was a chef at a famous restaurant, a high class one. Taylor is lucky to have his mom cook such amazing food.
