Fluff
World: Minecraft City
*Third Person POV*
Nick woke up to see the blonde hair of the slightly shorter male he called his boyfriend. He smiled and kissed the top of his head. Corys' forehead was resting against Nicks' shoulder, just underneath his chin. His arm was wrapped around Nicks' middle, and Nicks' arm was resting on his waist.
Nick sat up a bit and looked out the window located behind the bed. It was cloudy and dark, and you couldn't see the sun, so Nick checked the time on his phone. 7:46 is what it read.
Nick felt movement next to him, and looked down to see Cory blinking away the sleep. "Good morning, sunshine." Nick said to him. Cory just groaned in response to him. "What time is it?" He asked. "Quarter to 8." "Ugh. It's way to early." "Then sleep some more, I'm gonna take a shower."
But Corys' grip on Nick tightened. "Stay." He said. "Come on, I got to get up and take a shower." "Can we take a bath together?" "You want to?" "Yeah." "Okay, then. I'll go start the water. But I thought you wanted to sleep some more?" "Ugh, whatever. Get the bath ready." "Ok, bossy." Nick said, kissing the top of his head again.
Nick got up to get the bath ready, leaving a half asleep Cory on the bed. He ran the water until the tub was almost full. As he was filling the tub with water, he could hear a distant rumble of thunder, then lightning lighting up the dim bathroom.
He went to get Cory, unfazed by the sudden storm ouside. When he entered the shared bedroom he found Cory sitting upright, fully alert with a few tears streaming down his face. "Cory? Are you okay?" But he didn't get a response. He walked over to the bed, "Cory?"
Just then there was a giant clap of thunder. "Nick!" Cory yelled, jumping forward and wrapping his arms around Nick tightly. "Cory! What is it? Are you scared of thunder?" "Yes." Cory replied weakly.
"Oh, Cory, it's okay. Come get in the bath with me. You'll feel better." "Ok." But just then the rain got even heavier, causing the power to go out. Cory started shaking a bit. "No! No, it's okay. Here, stay here." Nick said, getting up.
He walked into the other room and came back with candles and a lighter. "What are those for?" Cory asked, still a bit scared. "Come on." Nick replied, walking into the bathroom. Cory followed.
The lights were off, obviously, so Cory couldn't see anything until Nick lit one of the candles. He lit the other 2, there were 3 in all, and set them on the sink. He started to undress himself, and Cory did the same. This actually was the first time they were doing this together, so it was the first time Cory had seen Nick shirtless.
"Wow," He breathed. "You like what you see?" Nick said to him, chuckling. Cory looked away, flushed. Thunder struck again, and Cory jumped into Nicks' arms, pressing their bare chests together.
"Hey, it's okay. Don't worry." Nick said in a soothing manner, wrapping his arms around Cory. He let go so they could undress themselves further. Cory got in first, Nick getting into the tub behind Cory. Nick wrapped his arms around him from behind.
"I didn't know you were afraid of thunder." Nick said to him. "Well, I didn't tell you before we got together because I didn't think it was important. But I guess it just slipped my mind cuz there hasn't been a storm scince." Thunder struck again, with lightning lighting up the entire bathroom.
Cory almost screamed, and started crying again. It broke Nicks' heart. "Oh, baby, it's ok. I promise it's ok." Nick leaned back against the tub and Cory leaned back against his chest. He was still crying a bit, Nick trying to help by rubbing his stomach. "It's ok, baby. I got you. There's no need to worry."
Cory sobbed into his hands as thunder clapped againg, this time the loudest it's been all morning. "Oh, Cory, baby please. I'm here, calm down." Cory turned so he could hide his face in Nicks' chest. Nick rubbed his back, trying to sooth him. "You're ok, I promise, the thunder won't hurt you."
Eventually, the storm stopped, but the power didn't come back on, nor did the dark clouds go away. Nick washed his hair and body, doing the same to Cory, even though this was a new experience to both of them.
They got out of the tub, wrapping towels around their waists, blowing out the candles, and going into Corys' room. They both got dressed, and brushed their hair. The power was still out, so there wasn't much to do.
"Hey, how about I read to you?" "Okay." Cory smiled, and followed Nick into the living room. Nick grabbed a flashlight and a book. They sat on the couch together and Nick started to read to Cory. A while into the book, there was a knock on the door.
Nick stood up. "I'll get it." "Okay." Cory answered, sitting up, seeing as he was laying on Nicks' chest. Nick went to the door and opened it. Uni stood there. "Hey, Uni." He greeted. "Who are you? I'm here to see Cory." Nick sighed, of course Uni forgot who he was. Typical. "It's me, Nick, Corys' roommate?"
"Whatever, where's Cory?" "Right here." Cory said coming up behind Nick. "Ok, well I just had a couple things to say. First, a streetlight fell onto a telephone wire, so it'll be awhile before the power comes back on, and second, I need rent from you."
"Well, sucks about the power, but I dont have this month's rent just yet." "You never do. Well, I have a few jobs you could do for me. To make up for rent." "Do we have to do them today?" "I'd prefer it." "Oh, well, sorry, we cant." "What? Why not?" "In all honestly it's because Nick's reading to me. I want to know how the story ends."
Nick blushed, and Uni looked at him skeptically. "Tomorrow, or I kick both of you out." "Ok, sir." Cory said, mockingly. Uni huffed, and walked away.
Nick chuckled. "You're so nice to me, but so mean to him." "Yeah, well you're my boyfriend and I love you. He's just the landlord. Now come read to me." Nick smiled and walked toward the couch so he could start reading again. "I love you, too, baby."
